Today is officially the first day of the Novi Pet Expo down here in Michigan! We were up nice and early feeding the Siberian Huskies and getting all the final displays loaded up to take down to the convention floor. Jamie and the boys carried everything down while I let Kira and Eleanor have a little morning stretch. Walking into the empty expo center before anyone else arrives is always so surreal! The dogs got to do some early exploring and see all the cool vendor booths before the loud crowds rushed in to say hello.

This year is definitely a very emotional one for us. We just debuted the brand new Memphis plushy and the new Remembering Memphis coloring book for everyone to see at the booth. I have to admit I definitely shed quite a few tears looking at all the beautiful artwork and banners. It is incredibly hard being here without her but seeing all of your smiling faces and hearing your stories makes it all totally worth it. Two things can be true at the same time we are so happy to see everyone but also so sad she is not here with us. We are making the absolute best of it and the girls are soaking up every single ounce of attention they can get!

We even managed to sneak out for a little bit so Dan could visit the local hockey store and check out some new skates! He found some awesome purple ones and I snagged a brand new hockey mom shirt that I am totally obsessed with. After a super long and exhausting day working the floor we headed back to the hotel room to order some Papa Johns pizza and open up all the incredibly sweet gifts you guys brought us. Thank you all for the love and for making this first day so memorable!
