AI GeneratedThe current weather is transitioning through a period of significant shifts. While some showers are expected today and lake-enhanced rain will affect areas like Lexington and Port Huron tonight, the weather will clear overnight. A cold Saturday morning with frost potential will lead into a sunny, mild weekend and a dry, quiet forecast for next week.
Welcome back to Friday morning.
7.10 is your time.
Boy, we're making it through a week of weather
that has featured some big shifts, huge changes.
And we've got another change coming our way
with a little bit of wet weather to accompany that.
Showers have been fading in coverage.
That trend will continue here in the short term.
And then we see a few more showers bubble
up over the course of the afternoon.
It's not a washout at all, but there will be rain early.
Yep, we're seeing it.
And again later.
And then this fades away.
Tonight, you'll see some lake enhancement.
That's this evening and early tonight.
So places like Lexington, Port Huron,
making it into southern Ontario as well.
Then skies clear area-wide overnight.
That sets the stage for a much colder start to your Saturday.
Temps down, yeah, frost potential, especially north, M-59 north,
back to the west, Brighton, Howell, down to Ann Arbor as well.
But we salvage a pretty nice weekend, I'd say.
High pressure in place, good sunshine, 60 Sunday afternoon.
And then next week, boy, it's quiet.
I mean, if maybe a sprinkled Thursday, but at this point,
I don't even have that in the forecast.
Dry weather looks to win out.
And what we see today is not a tremendous amount of rain.
The totals are pretty minimal.
Of course, this afternoon, there could be a localized
and isolated downpour, but don't plan on that.
A couple spots may get it.
Do plan for the wind.
Yeah, you're going to notice that out of the west.
Let's say gusts up to 30, maybe a bit higher.
36 overnight, but there's that Sunday bounce back,
followed by an even nicer next week.
We'll check the roads. Here's Heather.
