AI GeneratedAaron Judge is nearing a return to the New York Yankees, having recently progressed to using a pitching machine for batting practice. With a potential return as early as next week, the team hopes to integrate their captain back into the lineup to stabilize the offense and build momentum ahead of the postseason push.
We just received a massive Aaron Judge injury update as with the home stretch of the season
approaching there is news that the Yankees captain could be making a return sooner than
anticipated and we'll discuss what this means for the Yankees chances at a World Series title
and how realistic it can be with number 99 in the fold. What's going on guys Alex Brooks back here
with another episode here on Yankees Digest hope you guys are having a great day so far as we are
going to discuss this update that came from Aaron Boone that came around the Yankees organization
on when big number 99 is going to be back with the New York Yankees we're going to discuss what
this is going to mean for the New York Yankees chances at getting to the World Series how this
affects their offense right now and really what has Aaron Judge provided off the field when he
has been trying to get back from his injury and we'll discuss all of this here on this edition
of Yankees Digest but before we get into the video today remember guys to subscribe to Yankees
Digest as it is free and we have videos every single day talking about the Bronx Bombers
it is September so we are going to have videos for you guys every single day up until the playoffs
and then when playoff coverage comes it is going to be a frenzy here on Yankees Digest so make sure
you guys are here for the ride and make sure you guys are subscribed so you don't miss out on anything
when it comes to the Bronx Bombers but getting right into this episode is we got to really
discuss about big number 99 and when he's going to get back to the New York Yankees when is he
going to get an opportunity to get back on the field and showcase what he can do and help out
this Yankee team get to a championship because the Yankees offense well while they've been
you know pretty you know it hasn't been terrible to say the least they've been able to you know
really you know pick up their stride especially against the Los Angeles Angels but when it comes
to you know the consistency every single day not having your captain not having your three-time
MVP on the field is a major hole and him coming back it is a very good sign that the Yankees
are going to try and make this push here in 2026 and this is the update that we received
in regards to Aaron Judge as it was reported that Judge took batting practice off the tragic
pitching machine I did not say that right pitching machine over the weekend before the team left New
York another checkpoint in his hitting progression as he works towards a potential return as soon as
next week so Judge is now go is you know really doing what he needs to do in trying to rehab
and getting back to this team he's not going to do any rehab stints it's not it's not looking like
he's going to go in any minor league games he is going to try to you know really try to progress
with his hitting and get back in time to really evolve his swing and help warm up his swing for
the playoffs because you want to have Judge at least two to three weeks before you get into
playoff action so he's warmed up and he isn't you know very cold going into a postseason that Judge
hasn't been the best uh in his career now when we look at his numbers from the 2026 season they
were pretty respectable for you know someone who was you know went down with an injury but coming
off three MVPs he had 17 home runs 248 batting average and in 214 plate appearances and he had
five stolen bases so he wasn't having the fantastic year that you've seen in 2025 with the batting
title or in 2024 or in 2022 when all the MVP years it's not it wasn't an MVP year but it was
pretty consistent at the plate with 17 home runs and 38 RBIs and at the end of the day this is
your captain this is someone who you are going to really appreciate every single day that he is in
the lineup and whether he is batting you know 250 or he is trying to go for a triple crown the Yankees
fans are going to love him because he is the captain at the end of the day we're going to talk
more about Aaron Judge in just a little bit but before we do I just wanted to tell you guys are

it's going to be in the pinned comment as well or find it on the app store it's time for you to set
up yourself for success because that is the Otis Edge now getting back into the news in the contents
of Aaron judge and wanted to kind of go over what this really means for this Yankees offense
and what he really means to this Yankees team overall I mean when you look at the numbers of
him with his record with in 2026 and without judge it's a little staggered I mean it's not the biggest
jump in the world but when you look at him with 36 and 23 without he's 42 and 36 so you're seeing
a lot more losses a lot more numbers in that loss column for the Yankees without Aaron judge and I'm
sure if there was a time where the Yankees lost a game won nothing or it was a close game that they
would want big number 99 to try and get a clutch hit and try to help out their help out their
chances there but with him coming back this is going to be the guy that is going to help lead
your team to the world series the way the Yankees are able to get back to the world series for the
first time in a couple of years is because he is going to have a great postseason and it's a real
shame that last year with all of you know the big you know the big pressure on judge to perform in
the playoffs and all the scrutiny and the adversity he actually came up very clutch in multiple times
during that season really a perfect season for Aaron judge at the end of the day but it was all
for not because the Yankees offense could not succeed last year a very big shame because I
think if the Yankees offense was a little bit more competent in that 2025 season I think they
could have made it back to the world series but at the end of the day the Yankees are going to be
a team that is going to keep fighting they're going to keep fighting they are really just in
the thick of it right now they're four and a half games out of the division the Yankees have a series
four game series against tape a race so it is not done the division race is not done even in
early September there is still a lot more games to be played we saw from last year how Toronto
had that big lead over the Yankees and then at the end of the season it seemed like the Yankees
had a open door to take the division but it led to them being tied at the end of the day and the
Blue Jays got the tiebreaker because they did much better against the Yankees during the season
series so anything can happen anything can happen so I definitely think that there is still a chance
the Yankees could get into the conversation of winning this division and if you do end up
winning the division you can really bypass that wild card round that yes you got over that last
year but you don't really want to keep you know going against the Boston Red Sox in the wild card
because you see about the history between both of those teams it could be you know a sign of revenge
for the Red Sox for not winning that series last year so I think that there is a lot of positives
when it comes to the Yankees trying to win this division and when it comes to Aaron Judge and
talking about his impact off the field I think what's really being not talked about a lot in
the media is how he's able to help out Spencer Jones I mean Spencer Jones has been really just
getting a lot of reps in the outfield he has really taken a big stride especially in this
Angels series where he's had a couple of home runs and it is going to when you look at how
Aaron Judge and Spencer Jones hit the ball they're very similar they have very similar statures
so I'm guessing that when it comes to Spencer Jones he is looking to Aaron Judge to help
mentor him and I think that can be a really good sign of chemistry within the clubhouse but also
just a sign of who Aaron Judge is and a very big piece to this Yankees team even when he is not
playing in the lineup so let me know down in the comments what you guys feel of Aaron Judge coming
back do you feel that he will improve this offense mightily when he comes back let me know
down in the comments want to see what you guys think about Aaron Judge and we're going to have
more videos when it comes to the New York Yankees so make sure you guys are stay tuned
and subscribed here on the channel and as always let's go Yankees
