On the night of August 11, a fire broke out at the Komsomolsk Oil Refinery (OR), located in the Khabarovsk Krai of the Russian Federation and owned by Rosneft .
According to the Telegram channel PASTRA, a fire at the refinery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur was noticed at 11:00 a.m. local time. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Meanwhile, the monitoring channel Supernova+ reported that the refinery in Khabarovsk Krai was attacked by Ukrainian drones.
This refinery is one of the key suppliers of petroleum products in the Russian Far East, with a design capacity of 8.5 million tons of oil per year. In addition, in Orsk, Orenburg Oblast, which is located 1,500 km from Ukraine, a major fire also broke out at a local oil refinery.
According to OSINT channels, the explosions involved the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery, where a massive fire broke out.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, for his part, reported that the city was attacked by more than 200 drones. "Between 8:30 PM on August 10, 2026, and 8:30 AM on August 11, 2026, 237 UAVs flew toward the Moscow region," he wrote on Telegram.
According to him, most of the drones were, of course, shot down "at distant approaches," and 13 drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow.
As reported, on the night of August 10, drones attacked Nizhnekamsk , Tatarstan, home to an oil refinery. This refinery is one of the largest and most modern oil refining complexes in Russia.
On the night of July 14, drones attacked the Gazpromneftekhim Salavat oil refinery in the city of Salavat, Bashkortostan. The refinery is located approximately 1,400 km from the Ukrainian-Russian border.
