Western media are beginning to mock and ridicule Putin's regime , which is looking increasingly incompetent and comical with each passing month. France's Le Monde writes that Vladimir Putin's unexpected visit to the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk was almost like a biblical "miracle": city residents suddenly saw gasoline at gas stations where it had recently been absent, and fuel prices briefly dropped by almost half, but only for 24 hours. "Wherever Vladimir Putin goes in Russia, the price of gasoline falls," the publication jokes. The newspaper describes a revealing picture of Putin's "manual stability," which appears before the president's arrival and disappears immediately after his departure. According to Le Monde, a wave of irony and sarcasm, typical of Russia's "Potemkin village," has erupted on social media. Local bloggers joke that the "master's" visit brought not only road closures, police, and poor internet access, but also a temporary benefit: gasoline was back on the market. Some even suggested that Putin visit more often, recalling that his last visit to Krasnoyarsk was seven years ago. According to Le Monde, Krasnoyarsk residents were unaware of Putin's visit on August 3, but quickly noticed changes at gas stations. Gasoline was available even at stations that had reported a shortage in recent weeks. The price, according to locals, dropped from 140 rubles to 67 rubles per liter. "We haven't had to wait in line for gas for two days now, and it's selling for 67 rubles instead of 140, and it's all thanks to Vladimir Vladimirovich! Thank you for coming to see us," a young driver said humorously when interviewed by Ekho. "The regions are beginning to feel isolated. This frightens Putin, who perceives the prospect of the disintegration of Russian territory as a serious threat," noted political scientist Ruslan Aisin. For 48 hours, the city seemed to forget about the fuel crisis that had hit the regions following the Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries. But this improvement proved temporary. As soon as Putin's plane departed for Moscow, fuel prices began to rise again.
Recall, war in Ukraine appears to have entered a new phase, as Kyiv has launched increasingly ambitious long-range strikes deep inside Russia, put mounting pressure on Crimea and sought to bring the war closer to ordinary Russians and Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine, especially through its deep-strike drones and ballistic missiles, is bringing Putin’s special military operation home to the city confines of Moscow and Saint Petersburg. As of this writing, 15 distribution hubs of Wildberries — Russia’s equivalent of Amazon, which is frequently used to supply troops with equipment the Russian state fails to supply — have been hit or destroyed by Ukraine. Likewise, most of Putin’s largest oil refineries, including one as far away as Siberia, have been struck.
