Three drones crashed onto the roof of a logistics center on the night of August 7, sparking a fire, Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler reported. He added that the Russian military, aviation, air defense systems, and mobile fire teams destroyed eight drones over the region.
Firefighters continue to extinguish the warehouse fire, and emergency services are on site. No one was injured, according to the regional governor. A drone alert was issued in the Sverdlovsk region overnight, and Koltsovo Airport temporarily suspended aircraft landings and departures. By morning, the restrictions were lifted.
Using OSINT analysis, the publication Astra determined that the target of the attack was the Wildberries logistics complex on Perspektivnaya Street in Yekaterinburg. Footage published by eyewitnesses shows black smoke rising from the warehouse. Wildberries' press service confirmed the attack on the facility. It is located 1800 km from the Ukrainian border. Employees were reportedly evacuated in advance. Current deliveries were temporarily restricted and redirected to other warehouses. The company soon reported that the fire was contained and noted that most goods were undamaged. The complex on Perspektivnaya Street covers 158,000 square meters and is designed to store up to 120 million units of goods. The warehouse opened in the summer of 2025, and the company planned to expand it to 230,000 square meters. This is the second attack on the same logistics complex in less than two weeks. On the morning of July 25, after debris from a drone crashed, the parking lot next to the warehouse caught fire, covering approximately 300 square meters. At the time, authorities and Wildberries claimed the building itself was undamaged, and operations at the center soon resumed.
Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim later claimed that over 200 aircraft-type drones attempted to attack the warehouse during the attack. She claimed that most of the drones were intercepted. She also noted that the company uses certain "engineering solutions" to protect its facilities, but did not provide further details.
