For 40 days, Ukraine conducted a pressure campaign against Russia to end the war. During this time, it carried out over 100 successful strikes on strategically important Russian targets.

The press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this . It is noted that during this period, the SBU struck military-industrial complex facilities, air bases, air defense systems, occupier command posts, military ships and tankers belonging to the "shadow fleet," oil refineries, as well as Russian transport and military logistics facilities.

One of the key areas of this operation was the constant targeting of Russian aviation infrastructure. During this period, the SBU struck the military airfields of Saki, Gvardeyskoye, Belbek, Bagerovo, Engels, and Khanskaya, as well as the Yevpatoriya Aviation Plant. As a result of these strikes, a Tu-95MS strategic bomber was destroyed, two Su-35 fighter jets, and two L-39 combat training aircraft were hit. Hangars housing Su-24, Su-30, and Su-30SM aircraft, hangars housing Shahed drones, and the airfields' fuel infrastructure were also hit. The SBU also targeted Russian air defense systems. The Nebo-U radar, the 92N6E multifunctional radar of the S-400 system, the Tor-M2 air defense system, the Pantsir-S2 air defense system, the Pole-21 electronic warfare system, three Podlet-K1 radars, and the Kasta-2E2 radar were targeted. Another important focus was the systematic destruction of the enemy's fuel and energy infrastructure. During the operation, the SBU attacked 14 oil refineries, dozens of oil depots, tank farms, oil pumping stations, oil terminals, and oil platforms.

The SBU names the St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, and Volgograd oil refineries, three oil refineries in Ufa, the Pervy Zavod complex, the Cherkassy and Subkhankulovo oil pumping stations, and the Filanovsky oil field production platform in the Caspian Sea as key targets. Regarding the shadow fleet, it is reported that during this time the SBU attacked the tankers Blue, Louise 1, Banda, Avero, as well as two cargo ships that were under international sanctions.

"Overall, the 40-day campaign was aimed at simultaneously weakening key elements of the Russian military machine. In terms of intensity, geography, and the number of strategic targets simultaneously struck, this operation became an effective mechanism for exerting pressure on the aggressor state. Efforts to reduce Russia's military and economic potential will continue," the SBU emphasized.

As a reminder, in June of this year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a 40-day operation to pressure Russia to end the war. The Security Service of Ukraine was responsible for this operation.

Already in early August, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's goal was to end the war with Russia by the winter of 2026. At the same time, according to the president, Kremlin dictator Putin plans to continue delaying the end of the war in Ukraine.
