Have you guys ever tried those flavor-changing milk straws before? Let us know in the comments below if you think they taste like cereal milk too!
We are back with another fun-filled day in Northern Michigan with the pack, and the weather is finally cooling down to a perfect 71 degrees. We started our day with Eleanor trying to convince me that she can completely tell time when it comes to lunch. She might not be Memphis, but she is definitely learning how to remind us when it's time to eat! We are also practicing a brand new trick with her, and she is getting it slowly but surely.
Later on, we headed out to the backyard where Jamie was busy working hard to seal the pool area concrete to protect it from the salt water. Eleanor and Kira decided the hammock was the perfect place for some afternoon wrestling and snuggle sessions with Dad. We also tried out some mysterious sorted flavor milk straws that the kids, Charlotte and John Matthew, shared with us from a recent parade. Jamie gave it a taste test to see if it really tastes like strawberry or just regular sweet cereal milk!
To wrap up our gorgeous, rain-free day, we took the girls out for a wonderful summer evening walk. We ran into the kids and Stewart along the trail and spent the rest of the evening scanning the neighborhood for local wildlife. The girls got super excited spotting some neighborhood bunnies hiding out in the bushes! After a quick run outside before the nighttime fireworks started, Eleanor ended the night by completely fluffing up her bed for the ultimate cozy nest.

A family vlog capturing a day of domestic activities, including training a pet dog, testing novelty milk straws, performing pool maintenance, and taking a nature walk to spot bunnies during a stretch of pleasant weather.
I was waiting to see if she was gonna tip you right out of there.
Good, wonderful, beautiful. I have to show you this because it's funny. It is 10 minutes after
2. If I go this way, are you gonna follow me again? She's like, no mom, now you're filming.
Oh, you are gonna follow me? And now if I walk this way, which way are you gonna go? In there?
Is that where you would like to go? Are you learning to remind me that it's time to eat
lunch? Are you learning to tell time? She's like, mom, if I don't tell you when to feed me,
nobody will tell you no more. Is that what it is? Oh, it's in here? Well, where is it?
Oh, it's in there. Is that where it is? Is it in here? In here? Is that what you would like?
You would like me to open this door? Are you hungry? Is that where it is? Is it in here?
You might not be Memphis, but you definitely have figured out how to remind me and tell time
to feed you lunch. Well, hello, welcome to the kitchen. Can you sit? I have your food. Look,
can you sit now? Sit. You want this? Okay, here you go. You have that. Can you sit?
Speak. Oh, come on, speak. So close. Come on, you can do it. Speak. Good girl. She's like,
that's the new one I'm learning. I'm getting it. Slowly but surely, she's getting it. Ready for
you. Three, two, one. Three, two, one. Go, go, go, go, go. I was wondering if they would notice
you were out there. Eleanor's like, hi dad, what are you doing in here? You found him. He's out
here. Eleanor made it into the hammock. She's wrestling with Kira along with trying to get
snuggles. I was waiting to see if she was going to tip you right out of there. She's like, I just
want to lay here and Kira's like, no, we're going to play right now. Hi Kira. Right now is the time
to play. There's the butterfly. She just went over the house. Kira, did you see the butterfly?
She was flying around your head before I could even get my phone out.
We've had a couple of butterflies in the yard lately. Eleanor's like, where'd dad go? Can I
get in this all by myself? Don't jump in that by yourself, honey. It might be a little scary.
We are finally back to some nice weather. You know, it's warm, but it's not...
That heat index was crazy. At least we can sit outside and hang out outside for a little bit
now without melting. Even the pool gets to be a little bit too much when it gets that hot. It's
not as fun to hang out in when it's that hot. Oh, there's a spider. Hi spider. I don't know where
you're spidering to. There you go. It's weird to start this clip off with you pouring milk in a
glass. Okay, so we have never seen these before. When we were at the 4th of July parade, there was
a float, I guess it was. There was two different ones that gave them out, which is why it was
really weird. Yeah. They gave out, some of them gave them out like this and some of them gave
them out a pack. Thankfully we got a pack. There was assorted flavors. Yeah, because the pack
clearly said milk straw on it. Where these, I didn't know what these were. Charlotte was trying
to open it up and eat it like a pixie stick. And I can, at first I'm like, well this isn't gonna
work because as soon as I take one drink, they're gonna fall out or I'm gonna drink them all. Right.
But I see, so let's open this. Yeah, so apparently this is a milk straw.
Charlotte and John Matthews said we could have one. So they're trapped.
And they're, I'm assuming, I'm going to bet that it's gonna make your milk taste like
something. Well, there were three different colors, I thought. One was probably banana.
I don't know. This one, this one looked like it's probably strawberries. That's my guess.
It's gonna make your milk strawberry. Is it? It reminds me, the smell reminds me of them
wafers. Yeah, the wafer cookies? Yeah. Yeah. The strawberry ones? Strawberry, chocolate,
and vanilla? That's what the smell is. Okay, so it probably is strawberry. Okay,
so it's just a straw, right? It's just a straw, I guess. I don't think you have to do anything.
You just had to open it. It's definitely going through there. Have fun working that through.
Maybe you gotta like leave it in there?
Try again. Let us know in the comments if you guys have tried these yet.
Did that taste still like milk? Maybe strawberry, like cereal milk. Cereal milk? Okay. No. I don't
drink milk like milk, so that's why you're trying this and I'm not trying it. Hmm. Yeah?
Interesting. Huh. Fun for kids? Sure, why not? Now that they've kind of soaked a little bit,
one more try. It's definitely flavored now. Yeah, okay. Yeah, because now they got a little
bit more wet in there too. Huh. How interesting. Yeah, we'll have to ask the kids if they ended
up trying it. I'm sure they did. That's interesting. Let us know if you guys have
tried them yet. I've never seen them before, so I've never looked different. I tried it and it
tastes like cereal milk and I don't like cereal milk. Jamie drinks the milk out of his bowls
after eating cereal sometimes. I don't do that. Everybody does. I don't do that. It's not everybody
because I don't do it. I don't even drink your milk. I know. I don't like cereal milk. That is
what that tastes like. Huh. I like the little rocks. They're not rocks. I know they're sugary
candies or whatever, but huh. Yeah, I'm glad you like it. I'm glad the kids shared one with us.
Interesting. Yeah, different. Fun, I guess. Today is like significantly cooler. I think I've said
that multiple times in this video already, but there's a reason I'm saying it now. It's like 71
right now and it's not supposed to rain for the next four days minimum. I'm going to show you guys
what Jamie's doing real quick. So why is it important that it doesn't rain and it's nice
for the next few days? Because Jamie's out here making the pool area look nicer. Well,
I guess we won't really be able to tell the difference like just by looking at it. I could
show the difference. You could, but then it would be wet. Yeah, it'd only take a minute to dry.
Over there where it's sunny. That's where I was actually going to start.
Oh over, oh it's sunny over here too. Over here where it's sunny.
Side note, Jamie worked at the new house all morning this morning. You just haven't stopped
today. I know. All right, so here's concrete. Okay, so here's concrete. So I've done the back side
from this line and there's another line over there. I've done from there. So I'm gonna step
in front of it. Actually, I'll come in. Get out of the way tree. Yeah, I know right. Okay, I'm gonna
get the concrete wet. Just a little bit. Okay, so see what happens when it sprinkles on there.
Now it looks wet. Oh yeah, you got it. And then see what happens when it goes on here.
Instead of getting down into the concrete, it's almost like wax. Like what wax does to your car.
And this is going to protect the concrete from the salt water in the pool, right? Yeah,
I got it right. Okay, I'll let you spray your stuff on. Yeah. It'll be nice. We got a couple
nice days, but that means no dogs in the pool today. But it's not warm enough today anyway,
so it's perfect. All right, have fun spraying your lines. And then that's all he's got to do.
And it coats all the stuff. Nice and easy. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Do you want to go
for a walk? You want to go for a walk? Yeah? Do you? Let's go see if we can find some bunnies.
Okay, let's go see if we can find some bunnies. Well, I should have filmed that.
That we ran into the kids and Stewart and we were... What do you see Kira? I don't... I'm looking,
I'm scanning. If you guys saw a critter, tell me. But we don't see it. Yeah, we ran into the kids
and we walked the last part of their walk, first part of our walk. What are we snoofing here?
Something amazing, I know. Oh, what does it say? Do you? Where? Oh, I wasn't far enough.
Oh, my Kyle's house. Oh my goodness. Hey, somebody shot up some fireworks here.
Ask me. Oh, I know. All right, can you guys see the bunny? He's right there. Oh, he's taking off.
Eleanor saw him. Kira was looking the other way. Eleanor was like, wait, wait, wait, what's a bunny?
Did you see him Kira? Did you see the bunny? He's probably in the woods right here now.
I don't know where he's at. There he is. There he goes. Now he's in the woods. The bunny!
Come on, we're not chasing the bunnies. We're just watching the bunnies.
Jamie, do you think that the turtle I saw the other day laid eggs somewhere? Well, most likely.
I looked, but I didn't see. Like, I was looking for fresh dirt spots. It will be up here more.
We'll have to look. He does have a whole place. We saw one bury eggs over there one time, but
we never saw them come up and we counted the days. Count your days. We did, but we never saw
baby turtles. I gotta say, the sky looks really pretty tonight too. It's very pretty right now.
This is perfect weather. Whatever it is right now, it could be like this every day in the summer
and I'd be happy. There's still fireworks going off. So far she hasn't reacted at all though,
so that's good. Kira's like, I don't care if there's fireworks going off. I'm going for a walk
and I'm sniffing all the things and I'm looking for the bunnies. I don't see any more bunnies yet.
We'll keep looking. Okay, Kira gets to make the decision. Straight or turn. Let's see which way.
She's just dragging you. This is the way, dad. It's this way. Eleanor's like, I don't know where
we're going. Kira says, we're going on the long walk because it's nice out. We're going this way.
All right, we're going this way because we love you. Okay, I have seen the bunny. Jamie has seen
the bunny, but the girls have yet to see the bunny. Do you see it, Elle? Oh, maybe. Let's see.
Do you see the bunny yet? Do you see it? They're both looking the wrong way. Kira sees it. Kira
sees it. Elle, where's the bunny? Look where Kira's looking. There it is. There's them ears.
There's the stompies. Stompies in the ears. There goes the bunny. He's in the bushes.
Yeah, that's so fun, huh? So you don't have to chase them. You just have to spot them.
That's half the fun. I love how Kira gives it up as soon as she can't see them. She's like,
all right, it's gone. And Eleanor's like, but maybe it'll come back. I'm assuming with how
pointy these ears are. Is she out there? I don't see her through the bushes. Do you see her?
You see her through the bushes? Our bunny might be out there, but I might not be able to see her.
Kira definitely saw something. She might be out there. Yeah, we walked all the way around and
then you came home and looked for bunnies too. You ready to go outside one more time before bed?
You gotta be really fast because there might be fireworks. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go,
go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Hopefully she figures it out before whoever was just shooting off
fireworks. I don't know who it was. You got this Elle. You got this. Yeah, good job. Get back in
Good job. I didn't say it yet. I want to say, goodness me.
Can't see. I got the wrong lights up. Hold on a second. Let me turn this light on.
All right, you guys. We hope you enjoyed today's video. As always, thanks so much for watching.
Thanks for subscribing. Stay positive. Dream big. We will see you again soon. Go to bed. Go to bed.
Are you just fluffing all of that? Like biting and fluffing? Holy cow.
What do you... I mean you fluff it girl. You get it. You... whatever makes you happy.
Okay. All right. Are you not done yet? You were underneath the pillow. Is that...
That's the nest you made. You threw that pillow. It fell right back down where it was. And then
you literally... Look, even the remote's over here. You just floofed it all. Is that better?
What do you think about that? I don't care. Dad's squitching my belly. She can floof it all she wants.
She's floofing it and then you're gonna have to do 27 million turnarounds before you go to bed.
Kira, are you happy? She's like, yeah, I'm perfectly happy. Goodnight Pawdience.
