Stealing My Huskies FLOOFS!
How often do you groom your dogs during shedding season? Are you a fan of the high-velocity dryer or do you prefer the traditional brush? Let us know in the comments below! You already know what time it is, and the dogs are already a little mad about it. It is officially spring here in Michigan, which means the Siberian Husky shedding season has arrived in full force! Today, I’m taking Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor outside to blow out their coats and get rid of all those "floofs" that have been taking over the house.
Watch as the backyard turns into a winter wonderland of fur! I’ll show you the before and after of each girl, including our 13-year-old senior girl, Memphis, who looks absolutely amazing when she's all poofy and shiny. Jamie even steps in to help me with the grooming session to make sure everyone is looking their best. It’s a lot of work, but seeing them so soft and clean makes it all worth it.
I also take some time to answer a question I get a lot: Why do I rarely bathe my huskies? I’ll explain why these "self-cleaning" dogs actually benefit more from a good blowout or a dog vacuum than a traditional bath. We wrap up the day with some much-deserved Bully Bundles treats and a quick check on our bird friends. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
