What do you do with the Husky Poop! Fan Friday #58

Are you excited? We are! It's Fan Friday! All right! I hope it's not too windy to try to pull off Fan Friday outside. I like doing Fan Fridays outside. I do! I like doing Fan Friday outside. How about you? Once again, if you guys want to submit intros for Fan Friday, just leave them as video responses to this video or post them on our Facebook page. We do have a few of them right now, but don't worry we will try to get through all of them. Michelle wants to know, do you have problems with your dogs eating sticks, mud and grass? I noticed that you feed Shiloh and I think it was a raised bowl. Is there a reason for this? It's two separate questions if you can't tell. Answer the first question. Yes, Shiloh... Look at me Shi! Oh, she might even do it now. Don't do it because you're not supposed to. Shiloh eats dirt and licks the cement and will try to eat grass. We actually found out... Shi, don't do it! That says you can't do it. We actually found out that she has a iron deficiency and that's why she does it. So we try to feed her things like chicken livers to help boost up her iron and make sure to give her her daily vitamins. It is Shiloh whose bowl I have raised and it's because as she's gotten older she seems to have a harder time swallowing. So we raise her bowl and make it a little bit easier for her. Sharon says, my dogs have horrible allergies in the summertime. How about your girls? Hi Shelby! Did you bring me your ball? Thanks! As you guys saw, if you watched Wednesday's video, we had a lot of pollen which is no longer there. Well, not blowing around anyway. They don't seem to have any allergies with the pollen or anything like that that we've noticed anyway. But if they do, I'm sure you'll hear about it. I get asked this question a lot. Stefan wants to know, how many times would you give a Husky a bath? Oakley has had one bath since we've gotten her and we've had her since February. Shelby gets about one bath a year, if that. And Shiloh gets one bath every other year or only if we have to because she absolutely hates him. Huskies are fairly clean. You don't normally have to bathe them a whole lot. They tend to clean themselves actually. Edward wants to know, what is the best food to feed your Huskies? Meaty and gravy like? Whoa! Hi girls! Or dry food? I always recommend feeding dry food because it's better for their teeth and it's really better for their digestive system. All of our girls are on dry food except for Shiloh who gets her special diet. But the dry food helps with their teeth, keeping their teeth clean and things like that. So I would definitely say you should stick with the dry food. Deborah has asked us one of those questions that we get asked a lot. How do you manage and dispose of the waste including both what's picked up in your yard and picked up in bags when out walking? Basically how do we get rid of all the poop? We do have three dogs which means three times the amount of poop of one dog. When we're in our own yard and we need to dispose it we have our doggie doolie system which it says doggie doolie right on it. Basically it's a dog septic tank. There's a big hole underneath it. I did a video on it. I'll link the video over here. I think I did a video on it. It might have been on this channel. It might have been on my vlog channel but I'll try to find it and I'll put a link to it. Basically it's a septic tank. We take and we put the waste in the tank, put a digester in it and fill it with water. Where'd it go? Yeah basically it's just a septic tank. We put their waste in it and fill it with water and add a digester to it once a week and that takes care of everything. Carolyn wants to know are your dogs blowing their coat? Yes. Oh I got your fluffies. Yes they are. I've been brushing them trying to brush them every day but all three of them are currently blowing their coats. Are you blowing your coat Shi? Can't you just keep the same coat all the time? You're like a fashion diva. You have to have a new coat twice a year. Is that how that works? Little miss fashion diva. Yes all three of them are blowing their coats right now which means tons of fur. Alonzo wants to know if anybody besides Shelby has used the pool yet? Oakley drank out of it again and Shiloh drank out of it but as for getting in it? No. Just Shelby. We didn't get any mail today but I'll show you guys this picture of Shelby that Jamie drew on our sidewalk outside. He found a sidewalk chalk rock or something. I don't know what he did with it. Oh it's up here. He found this rock and he said it was a chalk rock so he drew a picture of Shelby on the sidewalk. So I'll show you that art for today. Anyway hope you guys have a good Memorial Day weekend. There should be a video up on Monday as long as we're in town. We haven't really decided what we're gonna do yet. We may take the girls camping. Oakley has yet to go camping so we're not really sure but there should be a video up sometime Monday and we hope you guys have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend and hopefully we'll see you on Monday.
