Get ready for another paw-some adventure with our pack! This vlog kicks off with our chatty Siberian Husky, Eleanor, giving us her famous "woos"! We then share an update on our sweet senior husky, Memphis, and how her hock braces are helping with her arthritis, making her outdoor time more comfortable. Join us as we spend some quality time with all three of our huskies – Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor – enjoying the fresh air.
The day takes a heartwarming turn as we head over to my brother John Matthew's house. We're on a mission to help him build a new fence for his kids, a project that was a special dream for him and his late wife. It's all about family support and making dreams a reality! While we're there, John Matthew gives a shoutout to his new YouTube channel, JM Studio – make sure you check it out and show him some love! You'll also see some fun moments as I play with my amazing nephew and niece, John Matthew and Charlotte.
Back at home, nature greets us with a beautiful female cardinal at our bird feeder – such a lovely sight! We then dive into the classic YouTuber dilemma: brainstorming video ideas for our Gone to the Snow Dogs channel. But first, a refreshing walk with all three Siberian Huskies is in order! Watch as Memphis confidently strolls in her braces alongside Kira with Jamie, while I take the lead with energetic Eleanor. Of course, there's always a chance for a hopeful play encounter when our neighbor dog, Honey, makes an appearance – Eleanor was SO ready to play!
Dinner time rolls around, and tonight it's all about "random dinner" magic! Sometimes the best meals come from discovering treasures in the freezer. On the menu tonight: delicious stuffed shrimp and savory perogies, all expertly cooked by Jamie. We even break out our handy Aldi find pineapple slicer for a sweet treat! See Memphis, our adorable kitchen helper, chilling with us in her compression braces while we whip up this easy and tasty freezer meal. Life can get hectic, but simple dinners like these make it all manageable!
As the evening winds down, a couple of neighborhood feral cats make an appearance in our front yard, and Kira is absolutely fascinated! These furry visitors have been showing up more frequently. We reflect on the large colony of over 30 feral cats that used to live in our neighborhood and discuss the importance of TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) to help manage the feral cat population humanely and prevent another boom.
