250 ml (1 cup) of warm milk.
650-700 g wheat flour (approx. 6 cups).
2 tablespoons of sugar.
2 eggs.
100 g butter (3 oz).
5-6 g salt (1/2 teaspoon).
13 g fresh yeast (1/2 oz).
10 g vanilla sugar (1/2 teaspoon).
For the filling:
100-150 g dried apricots (approx. 4 oz).
100-150 g dried plums (approx. 4 oz).
100-150 g raisins (approx. 4 oz raisins).
100-150 g lemon zest or candied lemon peel (approx. 4 oz).
Knead the dough and let it rest for 50-60 minutes.
Shape the Easter braid as shown in the video.
Bake at 180 °C (356 °F) for 35–40 minutes.
After baking, let it cool, brush it with melted butter and dust it with powdered sugar.
