This soft and lightly sweet Easter bread is made with simple ingredients and no kneading at all.

Ingredients
500 g bread flour (12% protein) – 17.6 oz – ≈ 4 cups
350 ml warm milk – 11.8 fl oz – 1 1/2 cups
7 g instant dry yeast – 2 1/4 tsp
60 g softened butter – 2.1 oz – ≈ 4 1/4 tbsp
7 g salt – about 1 1/4 tsp
5 g vanilla – 1 tsp
1 egg
60 g sugar – 2.1 oz – ≈ 1/4 cup + 2 tsp
Zest of 1 lemon
Optional: orange zest
For the top: 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk, sliced almonds

Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 30 minutes.

US cup measurement: 1 cup = 240 ml
