Burglary suspects at an Everett pot shop were chased away by a neighbor using bear spray Monday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. at Marijuanaclub99, located on Highway 99 at 12631 Evergreen Way. Owner Ryan Johnson said he got a call that the alarm went off and looked at the security cameras and saw multiple vehicles—one of which crashed into the building.
Johnson said a man who lives nearby ran to the store and sprayed bear repellent at the suspects, who then took off without any items. Significant structural damage was done to the store, though. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said the vehicles involved are believed to have been stolen.

Now to Snohomish County where police are investigating this crash and grab
burglary attempt at a pot shop in Everett. It happened early this morning
along Highway 99. That's the gaping hole that the car left behind, but those
suspects got few or no items out of the store. Surveillance video we show you a
couple times here will show you why. It shows a man spraying what might have
been pepper spray or bear spray at the intruders. Our crew on scene was told
that person works at a nearby business and saw what was happening. We're
working to get more details from detectives.
