Right before Christmas, early in the morning, police were called to one of the most notorious homeless encampments in Seattle. The Ballard neighborhood, on Leary. It is a violent place full of sick, desperate people.

A man had spotted his car, which had been stolen from him. When he approached it there was a body inside, pitched upside down, with its head down by the brake pedal. Her name was Lexi Evanson. She was 35-years old.

KOMO's Eric Johnson shares a deeply personal story of one of his own family members who lost her battle with addiction on the streets of Seattle. Who really is to blame for her death?
