Today, we're gonna be making camp fire chicken oven style
using wonderful baby potatoes with corn, onions,
baby carrots, with fire roasted tomatoes.
So stay tuned and let's do this.
I've got a can of fire roasted garlic tomatoes.
I'm gonna drain these.
I'm gonna drain that can
because I don't really want all that juice in there.
I just want those tomatoes.
Okay, I've got three cloves, three cloves of garlic.
Okay, I got some corn on the cobs
and I'm gonna cut these in half and make them mini corns.
I'm gonna do four of them like that.
Okay, I've gotta season these baby corns up.
So to season them, I'm gonna be using
Be Sure to Season Season Blend.
So I'm gonna take some Be Sure to Season
and I'm gonna lay it all over this corn
and I'm gonna flip them as I'm going.
I bet you all saying, well, that's all good.
Where can we get it?
Let me tell you.
Go to besuretocook.com.
You can get it there or go to Amazon
and you can look for it there.
Amazon is Be Sure to Season Seasoning Blend.
Okay, I got a yellow sweet onion.
I usually don't cut my onion like this.
I hate it, but for this dish,
I'm gonna need half of an onion
because I'm gonna need squares.
I need petals.
Okay, guys, I've got a Sunburst Blend mini potatoes.
Okay, I have a bag of baby carrots.
I love carrots.
Now, here are my onion petals.
Remember that garlic we sliced?
Look at this.
These are slices of garlic.
So I'm gonna put some in here.
Okay, I like fresh thyme,
so I'm gonna pull off some thyme leaves.
Mixing up my thyme, guys.
Okay, I've got rosemary.
I'm gonna sprinkle a little bit of on me.
All you need is a little bit of rosemary.
Okay, I wanna use a little bit of celery seed
because I didn't want celery in there,
but I thought,
just use a little bit of celery seed in here,
just a little bit.
Okay, then I've got about a teaspoon of parsley.
Okay, this is my pot that I have bought.
My husband bought this for me,
and I just love dishes.
I love pots.
I love pans.
And I was like, ah, I was screaming.
I thought this was wonderful.
So we're gonna dump all this inside here.
That's all my delicious way.
We're gonna get all this out the bottom.
We're gonna mix this up really good.
Okay, I scrubbed and rinsed,
and now I'm drying with a paper towel
this wonderful lemon.
I'm trying to get some lemon zest.
Okay, the lemon zest is gonna get
all together in here just a little bit.
Hey, you remember those fire roasted tomatoes?
Yeah, we need those now.
We're gonna go ahead and dump those in here
and let those cook in here with that.
And we're gonna just mix these all through in here.
All right, guys, I have washed and rinsed off my chicken.
Okay, so here's our chicken.
We washed it and we patted it dry.
We're gonna add a little bit of sea salt over the chicken.
Just a couple sprigs of rosemary.
Okay, I like pepper, guys,
and I got black cracked pepper, medium cracked.
This is perfect.
I've got some chicken seasoning here
that I picked up at a herb store.
Oh my God, this stuff is so good.
I love it.
Now I'm gonna put a little olive oil on it.
I'm just sprinkling some olive oil on it.
All right, I'm gonna lift up my chicken
and I'm gonna put it on top of my vegetables.
Okay, these are the rest of the garlic in here.
I'm gonna put some garlic on there.
I've got white cooking wine,
so I need about a half cup of white cooking wine
because I need some type of juice at the bottom
to a whole cup of chicken broth,
but I got low sodium,
but you can use any chicken broth you want.
Okay, I'm just gonna pour.
Okay, we got our chicken
in our delicious Campfire oven-roasted chicken
ready to go in the oven.
The oven's preheated at 350 degrees.
We're gonna give this about an hour to cook.
So 30 minutes, look at it,
make sure it's not cooking.
It's faster than you think
because some people's ovens are a little bit faster
and I'm telling you, it is a little bit faster.
So go ahead and check it in 30 minutes.
Then make sure you give it that hour.
It should be completely done by then.
Okay, so this is about almost halfway done
and I know it, so I'm gonna pop this out.
Then I'm gonna start putting those little corns in there
right on top of here.
And I'm gonna go ahead and start basting this chicken again
and let's put that back in the oven.
20, 25 more minutes and that's a big chicken.
There we go.
See you in a minute.
Okay, guys, and here it is out of the oven.
Yes, I let it sit for a little bit.
It's still hot.
I'm gonna take a corn and put it over my little plate
and there's all my potatoes and carrots
and everything that I got in there,
all that deliciousness.
I'm gonna get a little bit of that also.
Reach down here and make sure I get a little bit, oops,
I lost the potato and I'm gonna get that.
And look, there's some of that juice
because it's just supposed to be like,
you can thicken up your juice if you want to.
Everybody does it different.
I've got a knife here.
I'm just gonna get a leg.
Get a leg.
Just get that leg and it's gonna be delicious and tender.
Okay, I've got me a Campfire oven.
It's just a home style.
So here it is, guys, my Campfire chicken oven style.
Look at that.
Delicious.
So now you have seen how to make
Campfire chicken oven style.
This is great, guys.
This is it.
Save that juice.
You can thicken up that juice if you want to,
just remove it out of the pan, put everything back,
take your juice, put a little cornstarch in it
and you take cornstarch and put a little bit of the juice
and kind of mix it up and then put it all in there together
and then let it be on the stove
and you can thicken it and make a gravy
or you can just have it natural because guess what?
When you're out and you're camping and you're making this
but you're not making it in a stove
and you're making it on the fire,
you don't have time to thicken, you will not thicken.
So use it the natural way.
Campfire chicken oven style is what we making.
