At Home With The Dyers
So exciting again, we're back.
Are you excited?
So in love with you.
Were you nervous?
Yeah, I was really nervous.
At home with the Buckleys, at the Dyers.
Morning Claire.
Hey guys, it's vlog time.
It is Wednesday.
Usually we don't shoot on a Wednesday.
Usually Wednesday's when the vlog that we've just made goes out
and we sort of have the day off Wednesday.
But really exciting day today.
Such an exciting day today because we've hired a skip
and it's just turned up.
It's eight o'clock in the morning right now.
I've been really looking forward to this skip turning up
because I just want to get rid of a load of rubbish
from the garage and get it sorted.
And that's what I'm going to spend this morning doing
for a little bit.
Enjoy.
So this is what I'm working with garage wise.
There's just, you can basically step inside.
I just need to organise, tidy.
Oh, it's going to be beautiful.
I think the one thing that I'm learning from this experience
is that I am just a proper hoarder.
Got some boxes in there.
Just stuff, I mean stuff that I still don't want to throw away.
Like iPod socks.
I've got some iPod socks here.
I mean, I don't know why I've still got them.
I don't know why I kept them.
But I don't want to throw them away.
Remember iPod socks?
Starting to see a little bit of progress now.
At least you can walk in.
I've got to be honest, I'm a little bit bored of it now.
How long have I been doing this for now?
Not long enough to stop.
I don't even know what I'm doing.
Get me a skip clear.
I need a skip to clear out the garage.
Get it here early.
I can't wait.
Oh, I can't wait to get going.
I'm not really throwing much away.
I've just moved everything out of the garage.
The garage looks a bit tidier,
but that's because everything's on the patio.
Big job, this.
I mean, there's loads still today.
That lamp can go.
That hasn't worked for years.
I've been wanting it to get rewired.
It's just stuff like this that I've kept.
That's a tow bar for a 2012 Range Rover Sport.
Right, well, we don't need that, do we?
I know.
It's just a shame.
See, he asks for stuff.
Get me a skip.
I need a skip.
Do you know, like, sometimes you should keep stuff,
because you never know when you're going to need
a bit of two by four.
Well, turns out I never did need it.
I've kept this stuff for years.
All it's been doing is giving a place to live
for the spiders.
That, it doesn't even look that big on the camera.
That is f***ing massive.
So we've got plenty of space in the garage now.
Pretty much cleared everything out.
That's all the oil from the mini,
which I need to sort out.
Only problem is that we're now in this situation.
I don't know what to do with all that stuff.
Right, I'm starting to find some weird stuff now.
This is a huge Alan Partridge poster.
I can't even unroll it, it's so big.
Why have I got that?
Where, who gave this to me?
It's taken a good few hours, but to be fair,
place is looking much neater.
I'm happy.
Very pleased.
I need a new place for my barbecues.
I'm gonna have to think about
building something in the garden
so I can keep my barbecues there.
That's the garage pretty much tidied up.
Everything's in some sort of order.
I had to put the couch cushions on top of my mini.
So if you're watching this and you're thinking,
oh my God, what's he put on the top of the mini?
Don't worry, they're light as a feather.
F***, my back is absolutely killing me.
It's freezing cold.
I think I'm gonna treat myself to a KFC.
Hey guys.
It's currently, what day is it, Claire?
It's Friday then.
It's Friday.
Didn't vlog yesterday.
I was busy yesterday.
I was doing, I guess what you'd call my actual job,
which was working on a potential new project
for the television, which was sort of exciting,
but also, I don't know,
I feel like I was going back to school or something, Claire.
Were you nervous?
Yeah, I was really nervous.
Were you?
Yeah.
It was just like a, you call it a table read
where you read through something new
and see if jokes work and stuff like that.
But we got an equally busy day today.
We've been talking kitchens again.
Yeah.
Had another little kitchen consultation.
I'm a little bit bored of it
because I don't really know what's going on
and Claire is better at making those sort of decisions
and stuff than I am.
But.
We're getting there.
We're getting there
and things are picking up for me personally
because, as you know,
one of my favourite days of the week
is when the shopping comes.
Oranges.
Oh, get out of my face.
Let me have a toffee crisp, please.
I'll tell you something that I'm super excited about, Claire.
Yes, James.
Because, ooh, in about 45 minutes time.
Yeah.
My new smoker's turning up.
Oh, great.
Great, great, great.
Pass me my fridge stuff.
You want fridge stuff?
Fridge stuff.
A lot of people in the comments are going,
what are you gonna do with your old barbecue?
No, it's a different type of barbecue.
It's a different type of barbecue.
I need all my barbecues.
I need those barbecues.
They all do different things.
They all do different jobs.
I've got all this stuff from Heath's Riles
and I'm well excited to use them.
Oh, someone's phoning me.
Who's phoning you?
You don't have a friend?
It's Jay with the barbecue.
Hello, mate.
I'm, yeah, really excited.
Where are you?
He's dropping some stuff off to a couple of people
before he gets to me.
Does he not know who you are?
I don't think he does.
Put these away, shall I?
Jesus.
There you go.
And you can't say that I didn't help
put any of the food away because it's on camera.
Just did it.
It is all gone.
Oh, I got you a present.
You got me a present?
I said to get you a present.
Here you go.
The original shreddies,
flatulence filtering underwear.
It's a bit offensive.
Well, I'll let you know if they work.
I don't think they're gonna.
No, I'll let you know if they work.
I don't think they're gonna.
Um, I don't know, I'm not feeling too great.
My psoriasis has come back.
Has it?
Yeah, I don't know, but it is coming back
and I do feel a bit off today.
I feel a bit shaky and weird and.
Oh, you didn't tell me that.
I know.
Well, my barbecue will be here soon.
But honestly, Claire, I think we need to slow down a bit
because if these vlogs get any more exciting,
they can, like, on Monday,
the skip that I've just filled up
from all the rubbish from the garage
is just getting replaced.
We're just getting a whole other skip
just brought straight away.
We're getting that one taken away
and a whole other skip's coming in.
It's just insane.
Do you want a beer?
No, absolutely not.
This reminds me of my Joanie Walker days.
Packing bottles.
Sit, I don't feel good.
All right, you go and sit.
It's exciting times.
Guys have just turned up,
just pulled up outside the new barbecue.
That's the guys set up the barbecue.
Very, very excited to use it.
I think, hoping Wednesday next week,
which is only a few days time,
I think that's looking like a good weather day
to try it out.
So hopefully in next week's vlog,
I'll be able to do something on it.
Are you excited?
Say hello to everyone.
I don't think you've been on the vlog
for a little while, have you?
I feel rubbish.
What are you having for dinner?
Did you hear me when I said I don't feel well?
I'm just trying to take your mind off it.
Morning guys, how's it going?
It is Saturday morning.
I'm on my way to the garden center
to talk about barbecues.
I want to get some stuff for my Traeger.
I'm also going to be meeting my sister's boyfriend,
Sam there, who's interested in getting into barbecue.
And I don't want him to make any mistakes.
So if he does buy a barbecue today,
I want to make sure he buys the right one.
I'm feeling good today.
I'm feeling like, I don't know,
that we're going back to normal a little bit,
ever so slightly.
I don't want to get too excited.
It's just, things are just feeling
ever so slightly more normal.
I mean, I'm off to the barbecue place today,
have a look at barbecues,
and we're going to our friends this evening,
Joe and Danny.
They've, I say normal, I mean,
they've hired this thing called an igloo or something
so that we can still sit in the garden,
but not freeze to death.
But, nice to be able to see people.
So I'm looking forward to that.
Only thing that isn't normal
is I still can't get my hair cut
and I need a haircut really badly.
So Claire's going to have to cut my hair today as well
before we go.
But it's nice.
Nice to be out and about, pottering about.
Never going to f***ing get out of here.
I got out of here.
Ah!

I just got back from the garden centre there.
As soon as I pulled up, the battery went.
So, what can I say?
I'm an amateur.
We got Sam all set up with a web of kettle.
And I need Claire to cut my hair today,
which I need her to do now, really.
So I better go and get that done.
All right, guys.
A little vlog update.
I've had a little trim.
I was going to do a vlog update,
but I couldn't be bothered.
Vlog update!
I've washed myself.
I'm clean.
Trimmed up my beard.
I think I'm looking pretty good.

We're the new Buckley.
So, yeah, they did die in an awful accident
and this is the new vlog.
Good morning, it's Monday.
Yesterday, we didn't vlog
because I was not very well.
I don't know what happened to me, so.
Claire had four beers and then we had to go home.
We were all having a good time.
I kind of, I kind of ruined it.
But I don't know what it was.
I don't know whether it was because I got too excited
and drank really quickly
or if maybe I wasn't feeling too well on the Friday.
So, I don't know what it was.
I would say this, between the two of us,
this vlog has been a disaster.
Why?
Yeah, you ran out of battery.
I ran out of battery and.
Well, the camera ran out of battery on Saturday.
Yeah, managed to get there
and as soon as I got there, the camera ran out of battery.
Yeah, Saturday was a write-off, wasn't it, vlog-wise?
Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
I got really ill and then I wasn't,
I was okay yesterday,
but we just sort of lay on the couch and watched movies
and although you did something with your barbecue yesterday,
you were kind of out of it.
I seasoned my Traeger.
Sweet. Whatever that means.
What you gotta do, when you first get a Traeger,
you need to run it up to temperature
and then leave it for a little while
and then bring it down and then put it back up again
just so that you break it in, basically.
Okay.
So, today, Monday morning,
isn't today April 12th, isn't it?
That's when everything's open?
Yeah.
Like, shops are open again?
Well, no, I don't know if everything's open.
I know that a lot of people have been in the pub
since midnight.
No, it's only pub gardens that you're allowed to be in.
Well, or whatever, in the pub gardens since midnight.
Yeah, well, I'm talking about, like,
is Home Sense open?
I don't know.
I've got no idea.
I think shops are open today.
I'll tell you something,
the amount of times that I've Googled roadmap
out of coronavirus.
I know, yeah.
I still don't really know.
Just trying to work out what all the dates are
and what we're allowed to do and...
It's not focusing on you, it's just focusing on me.
That's all right.
That's, it knows, knows where the map is.
So, yeah, I'm gonna go and look at new patio slabs today.
We're also having a little bit of a clear out in the house
just because the new kitchen is sort of rolling round.
James has already done the garage.
So, we've got another skip.
We've got them to take the old skip away this morning
and they just bought a fresh new one for us.
So, I'm gonna fill that up with a load of crap
from the house.
So, we're clearing out the house a bit.
So, I'm gonna do that for a couple of hours
and then I'll head to look at some slabs.
Look at some what?
Slabs.
So, don't worry.
It's all exciting again.
We're back.
Yeah.
We are back, baby.
How about that?
You wanna keep that?
Yeah, I kinda do.
Well, yeah, I'm glad.
I drew that for you when we first started going out.
So, we're tackling this.
Like, this is just full of kids' rubbish.
And this is the only thing about doing up the kitchen
or getting new stuff.
Just, you get to clear all the crap out
that you just, that you hoped you would never have
to see again.
Right, this was yours, but have you got it yet?
No, I'm just wearing a Velcro.
You're just gonna stick the Velcro on it?
It's me on a broom, on a broomstick.
Can you believe it?
What's happening?
I'm just gonna chuck some burbies on.
I'm not glassing this as the first time I'm using it.
Well, it is.
Well, this is just, just a little test, really.
Oh, it's never gonna be that clean again.
It's chilly.
It is.
Freezing.
Perfect Buckley barbecue weather.
First thing I need to do is prime my auger.
That takes about two more minutes to do that.
Then what I'm gonna do, set it to 500 Fahrenheit,
and then burgers, four minutes each side.
I'm just, I'm just trying to show you
how easy the Traeger is.
It is just plug it in and turn it on,
and it's like an oven.
It's like having another oven, or an oven.
Yeah, we've only got one then,
because that one over there
has not been working for a long time.
I know.
All right, got it running.
Just over 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
I'm just gonna stick a couple of these burgers on.
Apparently it'll take about eight minutes
and they'll be done.
Me and Jude are just sitting down,
having our burgers now.
That is the juiciest burger I think I've ever had in my life.
Burger.
Really impressive.
Is it nice, Jude?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, you happy with that?
Yep.
It's a fancy lunch.
Burger for lunch.
Harrison's had a chicken wrap.
Jude and James had a burger.
I've just made a little salad, trying to be healthier.
Mm.
Nothing.
Don't know what we're gonna do this evening.
Might watch a film or something.
Got quite a lot done today, to be fair.
You know when the house just feels a bit lighter?
Managed to clear out quite a lot of stuff.
So I'm gonna finish doing a little bit of washing,
and then just chill out.
Chill out with the kids.
All right, well, there you go.
There's a vlog.
Hopefully, I'm not sure.
I don't know.
Clare is editing.
So hopefully there's something there.
If you did like it, make sure you give us a thumbs up.
And if you haven't, give us a little subscription as well,
just because it'll make me happy.
Thanks for watching.
We'll be back next week.
Stay scummy.
T-shirts are coming.
I promise you.
