HOMEWARE HAUL - FIRST HOME!

Welcome back to our channel. We've got lots of exciting things coming up haven't we? Yes we do. We're planning on doing three videos a week so please keep watching. If you've been watching our recent vlogs you will know that we're moving in together in September. The 14th of September. Yes. And then you're going on holiday the day after. I am. We're going on holiday five days down to get the kids. But never mind. The flat we're getting is completely empty. Nothing in it whatsoever apart from a carpet, some wallpaper that we're going to paint over. It's got stuff like an oven and a fridge and stuff like that but other than that, empty. Yes, so we've got a lot of work to do. Obviously we're not going to be able to show you what our wardrobe looks like and drag it in like this but today we thought we'd do a little haul video of some of the little bits we've got. The details and the things we've got that will make it feel a bit more homely. Yeah, we want this house, house, it's not quite a house, it's only a flat, we want this flat to just look really really good. So what we've tried to do with this, we've tried to get loads of nice good quality stuff, stuff that looks really nice but obviously you don't want to pay full price for everything do you? No, no. So we've gone round and we've found the deals so you don't have to. A bit of bargain hunting basically. So we like watching these types of videos on YouTube, hopefully you do too, that's why you've clicked on it. If you're moving into a place, maybe this will inspire you. We're going to tell you where we've got some great deals, Groupon is our new best friend. Don't give it all away yet. So let's get to it. We're starting with the best thing that we have bought. Can you guess what it is? I said to myself like 10 years ago, that looks really weird, that's not what you're thinking. I move into my own house, I want to get electric salt and pepper grinders. Which is what these are. So that's exactly what we've done. These are from, I think I've broken it, wait no I haven't, Groupon they are, Cooks Professional is the brand. You obviously get two of them, they're quite heavy as well, they're nice, you can see what's in there. So basically you put it in here, like that, don't break it before you've even used it. There's not much room in there for it is there? How much salt do you have in one meal, you don't need to fill that completely up do you? No. But basically you put it in there and then shut it, like that. And then once the batteries are in, which they're not now, it will grind it electrically for you. So yeah, these are from Groupon, they were, how much were they? I think they were like £15, down from like £40 or something. Yeah, it's ridiculous, Groupon is so good at stuff like this. You can get actual quality brands but for like a fraction of the price. The next thing we want to show you are these, I'm going to try not to drop them because they are made of glass. We just got these to like have out on the table for when people come round, it just looks a little bit nicer, we thought, they look quite cool. You get these in restaurants don't you, but you can never bloody open them. The only thing is, neither of us are very good at opening them. You can put water in these then put them in the fridge, let it all cool down and then when we have dinner we'll have a nice cold glass of water. Exactly, when we move in in the winter. We're not too sure on the exact colours of the kitchen because we haven't actually seen this flat, we've seen photos of it a few years ago but it's all been redone since then, so we're not too sure on colours and everything. I just saw this and absolutely fell in love with it, it's a colander and it's blue. It's not blue, it's duck egg. Sorry, duck egg blue. It's really dusty. Hey! Oh sorry. It's really nice, it's by Farmhouse Essentials, we got it in TK Maxx, it's so cool, like it's so different, like you get the classic silver ones and there's one in metallic. I think it's just really nice, it's a bit different and we also got some, they're upstairs, we can't show you them, some ice cube tray thing, that's the same sort of colour didn't we? Yeah, that's going to match them. So there's a few bits here and there that will match that sort of colour. I don't know why you'd want to match a colander with ice cube trays but... Why wouldn't you? What reason do you have not to? No, that's a good point. Thank you. This next one is my favourite of the whole thing. Should we get it out of the box first? Hang on, bear with. Okay. Are you actually stupid? No, I'm clever. Holding knives like that, are you stupid? Here we go, this is my favourite and this is the best deal we got. This is a knife set, please be careful, this is a knife set worth £100 and we got it for £13. One, two, three, four, five knives and a potato peeler, randomly, and they're all black as you saw. And it's a really cool box. See, the actual blades are black which is so cool and this is a really nice box thing that it goes in. It's like rubbery in a way, isn't it? Yeah. But not quite heavy. It's going to look really nice on the side. Go on Groupon if you need some knives, royalty line, I don't know if they've still got them but... There's a Swedish flag on it as well. Is that good? Are knives good from Sweden? I don't know, probably, Swedish people are good at making other things. The next thing we got was from Tesco's. I don't know how to hold these up. I'll hold one for you. Is that the right way round? Can't really see. We're going to put a clip of these in anyway as you can see. They're candles. We got them from Tesco's and they were £1.50 each, what an absolute bargain. And we got them with the letters G and L which obviously stands for gin and liquor and they're going to go in our little bar area. Shut up. George and Lucy. I'm sure you guessed. Should have got TJV. Yeah, but people would have been like, what does that mean? Like, well, do you not watch our YouTube videos? Are you even our friends if you don't watch our videos? Story behind these. I picked one up to buy at the shop, an L one. Oh God. Dropped it. Smashed everywhere. Everywhere. We put a basket over it and carried on our shopping. Because that's the safest thing to do. Yeah, of course. Put a basket over a broken glass. But it's better than not having anything there at all. What else are you going to do? I've just realised they actually look quite good in that tray. The next thing we're showing you is a little snack tray. A nibble dish. Okay, it's actually called a nibble dish. Three little trays and you can put nuts or crisps or like wasabi peas in them. When do you eat wasabi peas? I'm at a start now. I've got this. But we just put these candles in here. No, they don't go. It doesn't. Why? No. It's not. They're not square. Oh, guys, we've saved the best till last. No, you're bigging this up. We have saved the best till last. You're bigging this up too much. It's not good. I'm being sarcastic. Can you guess what they are? You can see them. A little giveaway here. Hangers. We didn't want to go with the standard hangers. We thought, why don't we get black velvet hangers? As you do. Apparently they stick better to your clothes. We didn't want to bring loads of our old hangers from our houses and they'd all be mismatching. We're both a little bit OCD about that kind of thing. So matching hangers, all velvet, all nice and clean. Definitely. Perfect. Our wardrobe is huge. I wish we could show you that. You'll see it in the vlogs. Basically, when we move in, we're going to vlog a ton, aren't we? We lied. There is one more thing we've got to show you. And this probably is the best, actually. Second best deal next to the knives. This was also Groupon. And you would have all heard of the brand Morphe Richards. And if you have heard of Morphe Richards, you will know they are very well known for quality kitchenware. This is what we got, guys. This is a six-piece. No, you're wrong. This is a five-piece. No, you're wrong. Oh. Oh, yeah. So, right. So you get all these pans and you also get a load of knives. So two frying pans, three sauce pans, three knives, and then three utensil bits. So it's basically your, like, basic kitchenware. The best bit is their, like, creamy colour. We didn't want to go, like, boring again silver, so we thought let's go for something a bit different. They're a really nice colour, in our opinion. From Groupon as well. So these were, like, £30 down from about £80. There's a two-layer coating of non-stickness. Oh, yeah. Got to be careful not to wash these too hardly. Hardly? Hang on. Since when are there five different types of hob? Induction, gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen. Yeah, there's loads. I thought there was gas and electric. No, there's more. Don't pretend you know. I do know. Don't pretend you're, like, wise on things like this. So there we go. That was our homeware haul. We've got loads more than this. We've got, like, boxes and boxes and boxes in Georgia's room. Yeah. But we didn't want to bore you today, so we thought we'd just pick, like, the best deals, the things that are a bit different, and show you them. Like, I don't think you really need to see tea towels or knives and forks. Or any of this, to be honest with you. But you're here now. You've watched the whole thing, so.
