So, what's everybody doing for New Year?
What's wrong babe?
Swap sides or no?
Let freak people out, we're like Ant and Dec now.
Get off.
Move up.
What do you mean move up?
You can't keep pushing yourself in the middle
and pushing me out
of the frame.
Here we go again!
It's another vlog.
Well, it's December 31st.
It's New Year's Eve.
We picked the worst time
in the world to decide to do
a vlog, a YouTube
vlogging channel. But tonight
it is New Year's Eve. Are we doing something
interesting? No, of course not.
Of course we're not. I don't even think I'm going to start
until midnight. Are you?
I don't know. I'm fed up.
Come on, but you can't do that.
We're doing a vlog.
I mean, yes!
Midnight!
This will be Harrison now, because we were talking.
I don't know if anyone else's kids are like this,
but Harrison is the nosiest
kid in the world.
I'm just going to the kitchen just to get
some water or something like that.
Because if he hears you,
if he hears you,
if you go past the door,
if you talk or something,
what was that? Huh?
He opens the door. Where are you going?
I'm just going to the kitchen.
Everything takes about twice as long.
You know who he takes after?
Davey? Yeah.
Oh yeah. My dad's like that.
Where are you going? Who's that at the door?
What are you doing?
Are you talking to me? Do you want to actually tell them what I did?
Oh yeah. So James
got me two pairs of earrings for Christmas,
right? But I only had one
um
hole.
What are you laughing about? I don't know.
So I pierced my own
ear. Which is
probably a silly thing to do.
So now you've got two holes.
So now I've got two. But the second hole is a lot
more difficult to get it in, isn't it?
You were saying?
Yeah. You were telling them? No, yeah.
How many Bailey's have you had?
Not even one. I kicked it over.
Do you want it over? Yeah, I might as well
finish that. If you wanted to make me another one
that would always... I don't know.
We've been sat here
on New Year's Eve
watching some um
well, she's been making me watch
Real Wives of Jersey.
My guilty pleasure
definitely is
the Real Housewives in
New Jersey's my favourite. I suppose
we'll throw on another Housewives then if that's
what you want.
But it's also his guilty pleasure.
I can't stand it. I just like...
I like seeing you watch it
because you enjoy it. He's such a liar.
He came down today and I was watching it
and it was kicking off a little bit and he was like
Oh, what's happened?
What's happened? Why is she so annoyed?
I didn't say it like that. I just went
Oh, what's happened?
This is the reunion.
We're about to go straight into the reunion.
What happened?
Why didn't they talk to each other for a year?
What was Theresa's involvement in this?
There's some children
having fun outside.
They'll be no fun.
So, what's everybody doing for New Year?
Oh dear.
I'm going to stay up until midnight because I want
to shoot your clock
changing year.
Now you calm down.
Alright, you
chill out.
That's something I'm excited about.
I can't even look back.
I cannot recap the year.
Nothing happened.
And 2021, I've not made any plans
because I invested quite a lot
in 2020.
You started 2020 in America
which was looking to be positive.
You did a show
in America.
In 2018, I was in a sitcom in the States
which most people in the UK
won't know.
Most people in America won't know.
Yes, of course.
Won't be doing that next year.
Left at the end of January and I was going to
go out there for a couple of months.
So you were back, what?
I was back mid-March.
Just after my birthday, weren't you?
You had to quarantine in the spare room.
I was there for a couple of months.
I had three meetings.
For a long time, I didn't think
I was going to get home.
But you did.
That was the highlight of last year for me.
Apart from coronavirus,
there'll be nothing to report.
We did do something.
We started a vlog.
Which was really clever.
It will be easier
once we're allowed to do stuff
but I don't know when that's going to be.
Sorry, chicken nuggets.
No, it is going to be crinkled.
S***.
I hope we get to do some stuff in 2021.
I hope it's soon though.
I hope we get to take the camera with us.
2021 is hopefully going to be a year
where I say yes to more things.
New Year's Eve 2017 was when
you guys had
magnums.
Is that what they're called?
Magnums of red wine.
We ended up drinking so much.
We?
Well, I did.
I did drink a lot.
I think that my body ran out of space.
I think that's exactly what it was.
As soon as I got home,
I had to go into the little bathroom.
I opened the door and my hand was like this.
Because my hand was like that.
It went everywhere.
It looked like a murder scene.
But I cleared it up there and then...
Well, that's the biggest lie you've told
of 2020.
I cleaned it up.
When did you actually repaint
the murder scene?
I think that was this year.
Yeah, that was this year.
I did clean it.
I cleaned it as much as I possibly could
but there was still...
Like you say, it was like a murder scene.
It was like someone was killed
with a brick in a tiny room.
Yeah, so that was gross.
As soon as all this stuff stops,
there'll be some exciting vlogs
over at John and Claire's.
I can't wait to get you back to Barbican.
I don't know, you guys are professionals.
You're supposed to be seen as professionals
in your jobs.
We document what we get up to.
How did John
lose his job?
That's vlog number six.
Right, we're a minute away
from the new year.
The kids are still up, we're still up.
I'm knackered.
A little bit after it does turn new year,
the clock's going to change
and I want to get that on.
It's floating to my eye.
What do you want to call it?
You ready?
10, 9, 8,
7, 6,
5, 4,
I'm just holding the camera.
3, 2,
1, Happy
New Year!
I want to try and get this,
it's going to switch over in a second.
Do you want to kiss your wife first?
I'll get this synced up.
Oh, the clock's behind. Yeah, the clock's like a minute behind.
When this clock officially changes,
that's when our...
It didn't change!
No!
I hope it does.
Does it just say 2020 the whole time?
You might have to change that a bit manually.
Happy New Year!
That's the first thing that's gone wrong!
Start as you mean to go on.
Alright, well, anyway, that was our New Year's Eve.
January 1st,
Alton BBQ, it's one of my favourite
places in the world.
They're coming to pick up my
smoker and my BBQ today
to give them a service.
There's a lot of furry stuff
growing on my smoker.
So I had to wake up early
to dig them out of the garage.
But yeah, I'm hoping that the BBQ's come back
in a couple of days, and even though it's cold,
I want to start getting some of that meat BBQ'd.
If it doesn't rain,
I don't think I'll be able to do any smoking at this temperature.
Definitely get some
steaks on the go and stuff.
I'm wearing the same jumper as I wore yesterday.
And the same hat.
We ordered a little Starbucks.
Watching a little bit of Only Fools and Horses.
We're going to have some steak pie
for dinner today, or lunch.
Like an early dinner.
Another steak pie from Scotland.
Then we're going to watch a little film together,
I think, as a family.
Got any ideas of what we could watch?
No. No? Good.
And then we're going to play some, which is my new favourite game.
I love it. Harrison got
Kids vs Parents Family Fortunes
board game, and it is
I really enjoy playing it. It's really good.
There's some weird questions.
There is some weird questions and some weird answers.
We're going to take the boys to the skate park,
but it's minus one degrees outside.
Quite slippery as well, a little bit icy.
Jude said now it's too cold,
but Harrison's having a little bit of a strop.
He's walked out there.
It's too cold, mate.
He's not there, he's gone.
He's like a teenager.
Like a nine year old, fifteen year old.
You look like a thirty year old, fifteen year old.
Hey, that's whack.
Shave me, put me in a school uniform,
I'll be able to do Inbetweeners again.
You wish.
I love that you think that about yourself.
It's true.
James, you look like a thirty odd year old man.
No, you only think I do.
Right.
We need to put the Christmas decorations down
at some point as well.
It's slightly funner putting them up,
taking them down.
I'm going to take you down.
Stop!
Taking them down, mate.
You're f***ing disgusting.
We'll get some DIY bits we need to do.
What needs to be done?
Well, I've got some new picture frames coming
for the new picture you got me.
I've got a couple of new pictures that I like.
Once all the Christmas stuff's away,
we'll get a little bit of home improvement done.
Alright, it's New Year's Day,
we're back in the kitchen.
This is where the magic happens.
We've got this really nice steak pie.
It's a six to eight person.
Steak and Link.
Honestly, I'm dribbling thinking about it.
My brother and my sister-in-law
sent me this.
I say brother.
Louise would have done it.
I thought you were going to say something really weird then.
What?
I say brother. He's no brother of mine.
Oh mate, look at that.
Check that out.
That is full.
We've got to get that cooked.
What are we having with this?
We don't...
Just potatoes, really?
Yeah, it's just potatoes.
I thought I had carrots, but I don't.
You've got plenty of Brussels sprouts.
Oh yeah, I'll be having some sprouts.
All we've done in these vlogs
is drink and eat.
It's Christmas.
That's impressed you, isn't it?
What are you doing with these spuds?
I'm just going to mash them.
What are we going to do gravy-wise?
I think a lot of gravy will come out of that.
Yeah, but that's for that.
I don't want to be dipping into that gravy reserve.
I'm going to have to put on a better shirt.
Get me a chopping board.
Grab a chair and bring it over.
He wants to help and I said he could.
Jude, you come over this side.
Get Jude a chopping board.
This is a new one for me, steak and link.
I've never had that before.
Are you talking to the food?
Like Bob's burgers?
Hey Mr Brussels sprout.
Hi Bob.
You can't hear them, but they're screaming in pain.
So what did you guys think of our big
New Year's Eve party last night?
It wasn't the best.
Why wasn't it the best?
Because we did what?
We did nothing.
We actually had a party here
of over 40 people.
We were going mental.
Are you going to have some Brussels?
Only an idiot would eat Brussels sprouts.
Jude, how many bits of sausage
have you had?
Ten.
Might take up a new hobby.
Go on.
Tarot cards reading.
You might as well just fully go down that road.
What do you mean?
What, I'm teetering?
Yeah, you're on the edge.
Can I give that a go?
You can do it now if you want.
I don't have any tarot cards.
Get some tarot cards.
Right, let's put the steak pie in.
How long does
the steak pie...
One, one, shut up.
Excuse me.
How long does the steak pie
take Claire?
Well James, I'm glad you asked.
It's time to put the
pie in the oven.
What?
I knew you were going to say something.
Right, open the oven door.
Oven door open!
Do you want to see
back when Claire
used to be in love with me?
A little framed picture of us dancing.
Before we had kids.
Before Claire grew to
just absolutely hate everything about me.
Not everything.
Well, the main
things.
How did you open that?
We should remember to take that down.
The gingerbread street, yeah.
I did buy...
Hold on, the ice machine's just
making some ice.
Here's another one to add to the list.
We bought a big f***ing fancy fridge that's supposed to
make ice. It hasn't worked for
years. It doesn't make any ice.
We try and... We buy the stuff.
We try and do it. We spend the money.
We try and be those people like, oh, they've got a nice
fridge and underfloor. It just doesn't
f***ing work. That smells so
good. Oh, that does smell good, doesn't it?
Yeah. Okay.
I knew you were going to eat that.
What?
It tastes so good. Oh, I thought you were going to say it was bad.
No. No, there's
nothing bad about that.
Alright, how are we doing, Claire?
We just pulled it up. It's looking good.
Now add a little bit of Bisto.
Give it a little bit more
gravy.
You've got a lot of potats.
What?
I don't know. You managed to make that sound like a rude one.
How much longer
do you think, Claire?
Another ten minutes, maybe.
I haven't eaten a thing all day.
No, me neither. I'm starving.
Alright,
thanks for beating that.
It's so cool, isn't it?
Pretty and popular. How do you fit that whole can
in there? It'll probably come right to the
top. Yeah, that's what you want. I'm not comfortable
with that. Why?
I'll spill it down myself.
Oh, James, I've not done the gravy yet.
Sugar. Give me the Bisto.
Start.
Grab me a whisky.
Any one's fine.
I just need a little splash of whisky.
Have you got this whisky, though?
No, you haven't.
No, you haven't. What's wrong?
Five minutes, mate. You starving?
Alright.
Ketchup and brown sauce, please.
Pepper.
Oh.
I like butter.
Don't put it back in.
That's fine. I didn't touch the spoon.
Mmm.
Great. It's really good.
Crust from the steak pie.
Whatever it is, it's good.
Oh.
I was worried you were going to drop it.
Thank you.
Yeah, mum nearly dropped the pie.
It's not bad.
Yeah, it's nice, eh? Really nice.
Can I try a bit? Yeah.
Yeah, you like that? Yeah.
James, you'll need to move that big middle thing.
Harrison!
Ready?
Yeah, please.
So I'm going to have a bit of meat
and then a bit of pastry on top of it.
That is just so thick
full of meat.
Little update
from the Buckmeister.
I really like this hat.
I'm wearing it all the time these days.
It is January
the 2nd.
It's a Saturday. The football's on.
Today all we've done is
we got rid of the Christmas decorations
and got the house
sort of, well,
we're in the middle of getting the house back to normal.
It's boring. Really boring.
Claire doesn't think she's camera ready at the moment
as well, so she won't go on camera.
Say hello to the
public. Your public.
Yeah, we'll play some Family Fortunes.
We're going to play some Family Fortunes
now.
And then we'll cut that.
Yeah, I get what you're saying.
But you've got to make sure you leave this bit out
otherwise I'll look like an idiot.
A portion of onion barges.
Garlic naan.
And five poppadoms, please.
Yeah. Cheers.
Bye. Exciting.
It's exciting stuff.
Just ordered a curry, but this is
my happiest day of the week.
How long has it been since we've had a curry?
Oh God. Last year?
Stop doing that joke.
No joke this morning.
We try...
We try not to.
We try and have just one curry a week
nowadays, but the last
ten years of our lives
it wouldn't be a weird week
if we had three curries.
We used to be really bad.
When we stayed in our flat,
we were really bad.
I never had to order.
I'd ring up, I'd tell them my address
and they'd go, our usual.
And I'd go, yeah. And then they'd bring us
our usual that we wanted.
You blew my mind the first time you phoned up
when I was your girlfriend.
I went, watch this, I don't have to order.
But then you had another order.
And they were like, oh, Buckley's got a girl.
Don't pretend it didn't impress you.
And we're going to play
Family Fortunes
now. We didn't play it last time,
did we?
Curry?
Yeah, they delivered it to our neighbour.
You excited?
I'm so excited.
Still don't have anything to watch.
Just stick housewives on.
Check out what I've got going on here.
Chicken tikka vindaloo, poured over chips.
But listen, before you start rice-shaming
me, there's nothing you can say.
This is just my favourite meal in the world.
Hey.
This is the first Monday
of the year, I believe.
And it's my first day
back streaming today. For the first time
in two weeks, I'm going to be live on
Twitch for a few hours, which is going to be fun.
If you're interested, this is where
I do my streams.
This is where I make the magic happen.
Oh yeah, if you're interested.
They're games from the
NES right up to PS4.
Little Lego collection.
Some bits have been made by me, some bits have been made by the
kids for me. You can tell which bits have been
made by me, they're the good bits.
So yeah, next sort of four
or five hours, I'm going to be streaming.
I think we'll actually play
some Family Fortunes this evening.
Not sure what Claire will be getting up to
while I'm streaming.
The boys start school at some point this week as well.
And by start school,
I mean log on to
Zoom or whatever it is.
It usually means that while I'm streaming,
Claire basically is teaching the kids.
The only problem is, is when the kids don't go
to school, is that you can't get the little
things done throughout the day.
Things like washing, things like that.
Two boys running around
at home all the time.
It just becomes almost impossible to get anything done.
Right, that's Monday's stream
done. It was well good.
We ended up having a band called
The Long Johns come in and
perform for us live on the stream.
We were playing a bit of Sea of Thieves
and they do sort of those sailor
shanty type songs.
It was incredible. It was a really, really
great start. Yeah, I'm buzzing.
Absolutely great fun. Go check out Completed It Mate
on Twitch if you fancy it.
How have you been?
I'm alright, mate. I'm alright. How are you?
I haven't seen you all day, have I? I've been
streaming. I saw you briefly
when we got a little Greggs
delivered. What are you up to?
It looks like there's a chance you might
be doing something interesting. I've been
editing all morning, right, and I've got one thing to say
to you. Go on. If you are zoomed
right into my face, please unzoom it
because every f***ing
bit of filming that I'm in
you're right in my face. You can see
the muck in my pores. Please try
and not do that as much. Okay. I'm serious
about that. Alright, listen. I'm going to do you
a favour. Hang on.
Come back here. No, but seriously.
I just want to tell you something. Stop. I don't
have any makeup on. Alright.
So what have we got going on then? Some pictures came
which I've already... I did vlog a little
bit, but I'm not very good at
vlogging.
That's going to be a bit of a problem.
Misery loves company, which is true
which is also a shame.
You're misery and I'm the company.
What are you on about? I'm happy-go-lucky.
Do you like that? Yeah, I like that.
So are you going to help me?
Yeah. I want to
get your little...
Careful.
I want to get your little Jurassic Park
picture up. Do you see that picture
of us dancing? It's
like sitting on the thing.
Yeah.
So where do you want it? You want it just...
Just going to go up a teeny tiny teeny bit.
You know that was given to us on our
wedding day? Yeah.
Perfect.
I'm doing that thing that you
hate. I'm being really impatient
because I do actually have new
frames coming. Oh, and you're just
going ahead and doing stuff again,
innit? You do this all the time.
You buy stuff before we've got furniture
and things like that and then
it ends up that the furniture that we've ordered
doesn't fit with any of the stuff that you've
bought because you don't just be patient
and wait for something. It's so creepy.
It's what Harry's syndrome
a couple of years ago now. It's called family
forever. That's right.
That's what you called it. Yeah.
It creeps me out when kids do stuff like that.
I'm telling you, buy the stuff first.
I've got stuff. Yeah, we'll have it
all here and then you can
decide where you want to put it. It's just so
boring waiting.
I know, you've got to wait. She's just drilling.
She's going to drill. She's just drilling anyway.
She doesn't know what other pictures she's going to get.
I'm just making
my mark.
Skid mark.
I know I want this here. Exactly.
Alright? Did you do
the little stud finder thing? Yeah.
Are you sure there's no pipes or anything
behind it? Yeah, I did, yeah.
Such a lie. There's no pipes
here. What pipes
are connected between this one
and the back of the living room?
You don't know how houses are made.
There's pipes and things going all over the
place. There's no pipes here.
Boris Johnson to make a televised
address at 8pm to outline
further steps to tackle rising
coronavirus cases in England.
I know exactly
what I'm doing now.
Yes. Does that look straight
to you? Sure.
How does this look? I'd say
it's up to you.
Push it.
I was pushing it!
Did you check to see if it would come through
the other side before you put the other one on? Yeah, I did.
Oh, wind's everywhere.
Now that looks cool.
Yeah, that looks good. I like it.
You win.
You win. Get it straight.
You're a piece of sh**.
Oh, is it straight, yeah?
If you touch it again, I'm going to punch you. I don't care if
you're filming it.
Big change.
That was a lot of effort, wasn't it?
Just to put the same things right back.
What are you going to do? Get some more?
Get some more? I've got loads
coming. Not loads, but I've got a few coming.
I vlogged this morning that we'd taken down
all the Christmas decorations.
Yeah. Gingerbread street.
Oh, you're joking! That's going to be up there
for another year!
Get it out of my face.
I haven't done one of those.
I don't think I've farted once
during this vlog. Yes, you have. Oh, have I?
You were farting all the way through me trying to get a
sentence out the other day.
Oh, what are we having for dinner
tonight? Pasta. Just something
simple. I've got garlic bread.
Yeah, pasta.
Alright, now it is actually time
to play Family Fortunes.
Oh, wait, do your thing then. We're going to play
Family Fortunes. No, it doesn't
work if it's not. We need
team names. Right, kids, what's your
team name? Um, the Miss Farts.
The Miss Farts.
Because it's
like the misfits.
What's our team name? The Cool
Guys. We'll be
called the Sonics.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, please do that
one. Kids go first.
Name the noisiest
thing in a house.
Children. Kids was number
two. For how many? And that was for twenty.
Good job, Jude. Harrison.
Something that's noisy in the house.
The toilet flushing. Not there? No.
You got your first ex, boy.
TV. TV
was number one for twenty-two.
You guys always shut the door when I'm doing
this. Silver. Vacuum
cleaner, number three for eleven.
And when mum sings really loud
in the kitchen.
Mum is number eight
Because he actually let us
play with the PS5, so he's
the best dad.
The Miss Farts first round
sixty-two points.
Pretty good, guys. Yeah. Name a type
of place that keeps a record
of people. Hospital.
Um, number three, fourteen
points. Okay, I thought that would be
number one, gotta be honest. I don't know
what else would keep a record of people.
How many points, sorry? Fourteen.
Police. Police station.
Number two. Even though hospital's
there, I'm gonna say
doctor's surgery. Number eight
for three. Alright, not bad.
We need to get a couple more if we're gonna
stay in this. The morgue?
No.
The queen? Yeah.
Oh, the
taxis. Tax man. Yeah.
My butt's really sweaty
like it's wet.
Lovely. Round two. Harrison
can go first this time. Name a
type of place
where you would see chandeliers.
That's
hard for kids. Um,
a mansion. Mansion's
number three. Alright, maybe not.
I don't know. Go on. A restaurant.
Restaurant number six
for six. Um, like the
queen's house? Palace.
I was gonna see if I could get that one too.
Palace was the top answer
for twenty-one. Good job, Harrison.
A hotel. Hotel
number two for seventeen.
You got anything?
Any house?
No. Harrison? Um.
What are you doing?
Sit back
so I can see you. Alright, go on.
Um.
You can't.
Are you saying a tangerine?
Hold on, what did you say?
A tangerine.
I said castle.
No! Jude, do you want to read
our next card? Oh, yay.
Name something we think
we do too much
of just about every day.
Go first this time, shall we?
Watch television. Is it on?
So watch TV's not on there? No.
Eat. Eat is number five
with five points.
God, you've two crosses.
You've screwed us right up here. Oh, come on.
Watching TV. I thought that would have been number one.
Are we actually doing this every day?
I love how Jude's like coaching us
through these answers.
Um. Work.
The top has to win
39 points. Oh, we've pulled it back.
Whose turn is it, mine? Yours, yeah.
Cleaning. Clean is number two
with 14 points.
Poo.
Fart.
No. Thank you very much,
Judy. Alright, now it's time
for fast money rounds.
Are we winning? No.
No, you're not.
Right.
You ready, Harrison?
Fast as you can.
Alright. What do you think
of when you hear the word mosquitoes?
