We are ready for the day after Election Day
beautiful temperatures return later this
afternoon but we are picking up some early morning cloud cover
the marine layer and there's just
enough moisture and lift in the atmosphere
that we might even pick up a little bit of drizzle and
we're seeing that on the radar I'll show you that momentarily
but a beautiful afternoon we are going
to be watching the coast as early as tomorrow through
the weekend elevated surf and high
tides could impact those low-lying communities
and sand and winds are expected to push
to push through Southern California
as we push into this weekend.
It's also going to rise our temperatures back to above normal.
So a lot going on in our weather.
And here's a look at the satellite radar.
A little bit of pop of green on the map there,
an indication of some very light precipitation.
If you're traveling or planning on traveling
the 5 corridor from San Diego coming inbound
or outbound of San Diego through Oceanside,
the 5 freeway, they're a little slick.
A broader look at the upper levels.
Area of high pressure is going to slowly...
build in and that's what's going to increase
the offshore winds but right now
we do have this area of low pressure
and that trough is exiting and that's going to help
Keep our temperatures mild, sunshine later this afternoon.
Temperatures are on the rise even for the coast.
We'll be dealing with the 80s inland areas,
75 degrees with afternoon sunshine.
And we are dry all the way through the weekend
and into the early part of next week.
But we are watching the possibility of rain coming back
in the forecast sometime next week after Veterans Day.
So we'll see if that all pans out.
Meantime, 77 degrees, beautiful conditions for valleys in the IE,
from Woodland Hills all the way to Ontario.
Numbers for the high country at 56 degrees sunshine there and winds will
blow through about below 15 miles an hour or so High desert 68 degrees
And temperatures for Palm Springs If that's where you're heading
beautiful weather there And a look at traffic
