I'm meteorologist Ashley Brawiler with a look
at your forecast for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Now, the high pressure that we were enjoying yesterday.
We're kind of trying to stay hold today,
so we are going to see fair skies for the most part,
but there will be a little bit more cloud cover than we saw yesterday,
and that's because we do have a little bit
of a disturbance to our west,
so some of that cloud cover already moving
in across the island portion of the province.
Some of those showers are flurrying right
on the doorstep of the southwest coast,
and you may see them this afternoon.
But overall, temperatures are going
to be a little bit on the cool side.
Minus single digits right now up across Labrador.
Definite departure from last night down
to the minus double digits for Lab City.
But temperatures across the island portion of the province will climb
a few more degrees as we head into the afternoon.
So we're looking at a topping out
somewhere between three and five degrees.
Same thing for Labrador, a little cooler towards the coast.
But again, the best chance of seeing any shower activity.
We'll be for the southwest as we look ahead to the long range forecast,
things moderating for Labrador tomorrow.
So back up to about four to eight degrees, double digits
for the island portion of the province as we get into Friday.
A drop in temperatures, though, will come as we head through
the day on Saturday for most of the island.
