I'm starting to speak now.
Pretty cool to see all of that snow
and yeah a lot of rain coming down and just to note oak
creek actually only came an inch uh one
and a half feet away from their record highest level
so that is definitely what contributed to kind
of this once in a lifetime flooding and we have now
also seen some record rainfall for the fall season across the state
and we still do have uh
pretty much a whole month to go.
So Flagstaff and Show Low are currently seeing their record
wettest fall seasons. Winslow is in second place.
Payson and Prescott are in sixth place. So we
have seen just a ton of rain this fall contributing
to the flood warnings that we are seeing across
the state right now. The storm system is tracking through the Rockies
and bringing rain there across
the Plains, but we are still left in the wake of
of this storm with a lot of flood warnings,
and I already showed you all of those that
are within the valley area, but here's the rest of those.
So the Tonto Creek is in a flood warning until tomorrow midday.
Pinto Creek is in a flood warning until this evening at 6.45 p.m.
The Verde River is under a flood warning until 8 p.m. tonight
from Paulding all the way down
into the mountains east of Black Canyon City.
The Oak Creek is no longer under a flood warning.
It has dropped below minor flood stage.
Flagstaff, however, is under a flood warning until 1130 p.m. tonight
because of flooding across the city and general area.
The Little Colorado River is under a flash flood warning,
which is very serious. That means that
Flooding that wasn't there before is either starting to happen again
or already occurring.
This is from Loop down to Winslow, and this goes until 8 p.m.
And beyond that, all the way down to Holbrook,
a flood warning remains in effect until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Most of northern Arizona has seen flooding and the Moen Kopi Wash
will stay under a flood warning until tonight at 1 30 in the morning.
And most of Navajo Nation is underneath flood warnings until later
on this evening and overnight due to flooding of washes,
creeks and just a lot of the roadways which are flooded out.
And finally down at the Gila River near Safford,
there's a flood warning until tomorrow afternoon at 3 30 p.m.
So the flooding is not fully over.
As we go through the next couple of days,
though, a drier weather pattern takes over.
So we don't have any more rain in our forecast.
We'll see a little ridge making its way over the southwest tomorrow.
Temperatures warming up by around 5 or so degrees.
Then a storm system will track through southern Utah.
But it's going to be a pretty dry system for us.
And it's not going to do much for Arizona.
So we're staying mild because of that.
And then eventually, later on this end of the week,
this trough will build.
It's not going to bring in any moisture,
but it will keep our temperatures cooler than normal.
And then eventually this weekend,
high pressure will build in over the western U.S.,
and then we'll see temperatures climbing back closer
to average for this time in early November.
So for tonight, we'll see a low of 57 degrees
in Phoenix and 53 in Gila Bend.
Some nice, cool mornings ahead of us this week.
30 degrees in Flagstaff tonight, 44 in Sedona, and 36 in Prescott.
And tomorrow, we'll see warmer temperatures across the state,
climbing to 78 degrees in
Phoenix, which is still just a little
cooler than average for this time of year.
66 in Payson, 61 in Show Low, and 57 in Flagstaff.
And the 10-day forecast showing plenty
of sunshine with no promising rain chance.
for the next 10 days and temperatures which are staying
in the upper 70s and low 80s with overnight lows in the 50s.
