We'll
Welcome back. Today, cloud coverage.
You can see it behind me on our standard insurance camera.
But what we're waiting on is a cold front.
be
So can you spot it on here is the question. I know I
showed it to you earlier, so you kind
right
of might know it's going right through here. You can tell
a little bit by the colors and also where the winds are going.
So the front is there and it's
moving southeast through the night tonight,
which means it will reach us late, late tonight into
back.
tomorrow. Here's another view of it.
And I actually drew it out for you because also ahead of it,
It's not just the change in temperatures, you've got a line.
Line of showers and thunderstorms.
And also, they're already seeing some severe weather from this.
So there's some severe thunderstorm warnings going on.
Not in our area.
It's not close enough yet for us to see anything.
It's going to be tonight.
It looks like 10, 11 p.m.
We start to see some rain out west.
Overnight, the whole line moves across the region,
bringing us all that opportunity for rainfall.
Now, as those storms move through,
they are looking like they're going to start to weaken.
Which means the more intense stuff that we've got
to keep our eye on tonight is going to happen
in the northwestern portions of the viewing area.
So what exactly we're talking about is a flooding concern.
So they're saying you could get some
heavy rainfall with some of these storms.
Anyone that's under that green here.
And then also severe weather.
Now a little bit less of the area under it,
but again, it's a northwestern portion.
So kind of right as that front makes its way towards our area,
that's when we could see more of the intense storms coming through.
For our severe weather chances, it's the marginal risk level one,
which just means an isolated storm could end
up bringing us large hail, strong wind gusts.
Now, we're not under the chance for tornadoes, so that's the good news.
But that's still obviously a concern, and you're going to want to make
sure you have a way to get those warnings in case they get issued.
So just be kind of thoughtful of the weather as you head
into your late night hours and into tomorrow morning.
But it's really going to be late night
when we have those concerns because our northwestern regions
are going to see that line by around 11.
So I wanted to show you, I backed it out first to give you
that line that's just to the north of us right now,
and as I fast forward it, it's going to get a little bit closer,
and you can see it's going to keep moving towards us,
and by the time it starts to reach us, we're looking at 11 p.m. there.
Then it's going to keep moving through into those a.m. hours, so now
we're at 1 a.m., and you can tell these storms look pretty intense.
As I fast forward it again, they start to break apart,
so that's why we're not expecting severe weather across the region.
It's going to be that north direction.
Western portion, but the rest of us still going to see
the possibility of storms likely going to see some showers.
This is about three a.m. here.
Then as I fast forward it towards the start of your day.
So five, six, we're still seeing some rain.
But the good news is it starts to clear up as we get.
Towards noon, so this is 9 a.m.,
still seeing some rain, it doesn't look as intense,
but you're still getting some showers coming down,
and then it moves past by the time you get to the afternoon,
should quiet down, the clouds are going to move out too,
so we'll get some sunshine back as well.
I know a lot of you are going out to vote,
you should, as you should, so if you are doing that.
Here's what it's looking like.
Grab the umbrella, grab the rain gear if you're going early in the day.
If you're gonna go a little bit later around the afternoon hours,
you should be fine.
You should get some sunshine and it's gonna be a little cooler.
You're gonna start to feel the impacts of that front.
And then if you're going out late since it goes till about seven,
we start to drop down into those upper 60s.
So if you're like me, you might wanna grab
a sweater or a jacket just cuz it's
gonna be cooler, it's gonna be drier, it should actually feel nice.
So here's a breakdown hour by hour of what we're expecting.
60s overnight and then we're just barely staying
in the 70s throughout the day.
So cooler than what we've been seeing.
And rainfall totals for most of us, if we're not seeing
that excessive rainfall, looks like half an inch to an inch.
So it's not super heavy rain.
But as we were dealing with just a few days ago where it was kind
of just consistently coming down, you'll still want your rain gear.
It's a difference from today.
We hit the 80s for our high today.
Right now we're kind of in those 80s.
But tomorrow it's going to feel a little different
with our highs staying in the 70s.
So 68 for your low tonight.
The rainfall opportunities, the winds picking up too.
Tomorrow, we're only making it to the mid-70s,
and then we stay in the 70s after that.
It is going to be sunny and nice and cooler.
We actually have a second cold front coming
at the end of the work week, so into your
weekend, bringing a small chance for rain
and actually kind of doubling down on the
cooler air.
It's not as strong as this one,
but it's going to keep us in the 60s for our highs.
If voting tomorrow, morning, umbrella.
Yes, rain gear, just be ready.
And maybe a sweater because it's a little cooler as the rain comes in.
I was excited for the hoodie situation and then it kind of went away.
Now you're not excited for your hoodie?
No, I'm welcoming it back.
So let's just stay dry out there when you go vote tomorrow.
Yes, and bring your hoodie.
Thanks.
Thanks, Leslie.
