Thank you for listening.
Welcome back. Well, it's been a cool, wet start to November.
Our temperatures across the state
ranging from the 40s and 50s in the high country
to the low 70s here across the southern deserts
and 60s out in the western deserts.
Winds have been pretty gusty this afternoon, especially in
the high country. And we have seen winds up
to around 50 to 55 miles per hour in spots up north.
And that's mainly because of the storm system
that is approaching the state. So it's up there
They're in the Las Vegas.
area. It's going to keep tracking to the northeast,
a cold front extending south from that,
which is why we have another line of rain coming in.
From west to east right now.
But those winds are going to be pretty strong just
on the right side of that low pressure system.
So once that gets out of here,
the winds are going to be calming down tomorrow.
But for tonight, we still do have a lot of warnings across the state.
And, I mean, you've been getting the alerts on your phone.
So for the most part, I hope everyone already knows
if there is a flood warning in their area.
I mentioned that we do have the flood warnings for the Indian Bend Wash
and the Salt River at this time.
But if you look to the northern part of the valley,
We also have some flood warnings until three in the morning
for the Cave Creek and there are flood warnings up there for the entire
Cave Creek area until 5:45 p.m. for all the streams and washes.
This will impact pretty, you know, well populated areas.
So just make sure that you are staying away from Cave Creek.
We also have a flood.
New River until 6 p.m., the actual river itself,
and the Agua Fria River above Rock Springs until 3 in the morning.
Out west, the Hassayampa River is under a flood warning until 3:45 a.m.
It's a lot of the rivers, but there's
also a lot of aerial flood warnings up in northern Arizona
from the Black Canyon City area to out west for the Bradshaw Mountains
and Prescott National Forest, Prescott itself.
We have flood warnings through this evening.
through at least 8:30 at the latest up around the Mormon Lake area,
the Payson area until 7.45,
north of Prescott until 5:45, so kind of Chino Valley.
And then we have several rivers like the Verde River under
a flood warning until 9.30 p.m. tonight,
the Oak Creek until 8:30 p.m., and the whole Flagstaff area until 8:30.
And up in northern Arizona,
there are also several flood warnings up for the areas
North of Flagstaff until around 8:30,
out to the northeast until around 8 to 1030,
and then straight east toward the Show Low area in White Mountains.
Those go until around 6,
6:15. And then just east of the valley,
these also go until around 6 or 615, 630. So those
are going to be expiring within the next hour or so.
But yeah, I mean, the moral of the story here,
Pretty much the entire state is under flood warnings
or flash flood warnings and just use due diligence.
Stay away from those creeks, those typically dry washes, a lot
of the rivers, because we do have a lot of rivers in major flood stage.
This is Oak Creek. This is up around the Prescott area.
We have those up north toward the Winslow area, out west, closer to...
I'm going to.
I believe it's called Big Sandy River and then down southeast.
So just to show you what some of these river forecasts look like,
this is for Oak Creek at Sedona.
It looks like it is not at its highest level yet.
We're not done with the rain, so it could easily rise,
as this forecast suggests, through this moderate flood stage
before we're expecting those water levels to drop tomorrow night.
So we have a whole other day where
the water levels could stay very high
within the flood stage.
This is Oak Creek at Page Springs,
the Verde River at Clarkdale expected to stay in major
flood stage through tonight and tomorrow morning.
Verde River near Camp Verde
also expected to stay in major flood stage. This is the Little
Colorado near Winslow expected to stay at least
in minor flood stage well past tomorrow night,
likely into Tuesday. And the Agua Fria River near Rock Springs staying
in moderate through at least
tomorrow morning. So the rain will come to an end tonight.
We have this pushing west to east,
still a chance for some more rain through late this evening,
10, 11 p.m. But by tomorrow morning,
clear this out pretty much by around the morning commute.
6 to 8 a.m. We're looking a lot drier
across the state and we have a mainly sunny day tomorrow aside
from a spotty shower possible up
closer to the Chuska Mountains.
Our temperatures will drop to 60 tonight in Phoenix, 33 in Flagstaff.
Tomorrow 74 will be our high
and we're going to get rid of some of that humidity.
We're looking pretty nice this week with 70s and sunshine.
