You can step into the old Wild West.
The Trading Post in Wickenburg is giving us
an exclusive look at the actual stage coach
from the movie Tombstone.
Is it ever too early to start looking forward
to the weekend because we've got happening this weekend?
It's Monday, it's just Monday, right?
Yeah, well, we want the weekend,
so I guess let's talk about it.
It's all ahead of their big collector's auction
this Saturday.
Desiree Flewelling gives us a look.
Good evening, you guys. That's right.
We're at the Western Trading Post here in Wickenburg. And
look at this bronze statue.
It's just one of the amazing items that is going on the auction block
this Saturday, the 7th.
We're seeing so many different works of art, saddles. You guys have
it all. We're here with Bobby Jean and Jim.
And this painting is pretty unique itself.
This is an antique painting by William Corner.
And it came out of a bank in
New Mexico, and it's been hanging in the bank since the 80s,
so this is a pretty amazing piece
to showcase in the auction. Wow, and then the front here.
I love the front of the room. We're
seeing a lot of different saddles, Jim.
Yes, we have historic Navajo saddles here from the late
1800s. We have Mexican saddles from the early 1900s up through
a little bit more modern times.
We have a parade saddle here, a child's parade saddle,
which is pretty rare to have.
We have a lot of neat cowboy items, but...
As we work our way along here, there's some historic firearms
over here, nicely engraved, all collectible kind of stuff.
A lot of beautiful jewelry
and a very special belt that weighs almost five pounds.
It weighs 4.3 pounds. It was made by Roger Skeet Jr.
It's definitely one of those concho belts that you, it's...
Pretty impressive.
So that way, we're excited to have it here along
with this Simplicio squash blossom with
natural turquoise and sterling silver that is from the 50s.
Okay, a lot of great things to bid on.
And it's not too late.
So the bid or the auction is Saturday the 7th.
What's time, Jim?
It starts at 9 a.m.
You guys come along.
It's going to be a wonderful event with vendors here
of all kinds besides having this wonderful
auction.
Incredible.
Here at the Western Trading Post in Wickenburg.
We'll send it back to you guys.
