We're watching the Fox 10 weather experts
with meteorologist Erica Horvath on Fox 10 News.
I'm starting to speak now.
Welcome back. Well, we are seeing some
beautiful weather out there today.
Our temperatures are in the low 70s here in the valley,
and we're seeing temperatures in the 50s
and 60s in the high country.
So really nice conditions out there, especially now that the
rain is done. The low pressure system has moved up to the Rockies,
and that's going to keep tracking
to the east in the coming days.
And drier air has started to move in behind that system.
So we are left with a lot of flood warnings,
and I already showed you those that are
Within the valley, but we are underneath
those flood warnings up around Tonto Creek until tomorrow midday
and for Pinto Creek near the Roosevelt Estates until 645 this evening.
The Verde River is underneath these flood warnings until later
on tonight and for Oak Creek we're under flood warnings
that's going to be until 5 p.m. this evening and for Flagstaff
the whole general area going to be under those until 1130 p.m. tonight.
Another one of the rivers that's very high right now
is the Little Colorado River
under a flash flood warning north
of Winslow to Loop until 8 p.m. tonight
and a flood warning for the rest
of the river down to Holbrook and a little beyond
until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
The Moenkopi Wash is under a flood warning until 1:30 a.m.
Tonight, and this whole region of Navajo Nation
is underneath flood warnings until late tonight.
There's a lot of impassable roads, flooded washes,
and Chinle Creek is flooded as well.
And the last one to show you is the Gila River down near Safford,
which is under a flood warning until tomorrow afternoon around 3 p.m.
Several of these rivers are in major flood stage
or at least minor flood stage.
So the Moenkopi Wash, Little Colorado River near Winslow
and Carrizo Creek near Carrizo
are underneath the major flood stage.
And the Verde River is in minor flood stage.
So as we go through the next couple of days,
the water levels are expected to drop off.
But it's going to take a little bit
of time there at the Moenkopi Wash,
at least until late tonight and into tomorrow,
should it drop below minor flood stage.
The Little Colorado should fall below
that flood stage at least by tomorrow night.
So it's going to take some time.
And Carrizo Creek is much higher.
than they forecasted,
so the forecast doesn't look
to be
very
But afternoon or evening and the Verde River should drop below
correct
as we go throughout the next 24 hours.
back.
So with the rain ending, this is good news.
All the water levels should be dropping in the coming days.
Temperatures will fall to 57 tonight in Phoenix and 30 in Flagstaff.
A high of 78 tomorrow in the valley.
A little warmer than today, but still very beautiful.
50s and 60s up in northern Arizona. Really some nice cool.
A few mornings also expected in the coming days
and the weather really doesn't get much
better.
I mean, look at this.
Yeah.
This morning was perfect.
Nice to dry out, too.
That's for sure.
I mean, we like the rain, but there was a lot of it.
Yeah.
I've seen the sun this morning.
It was like, yes.
I know.
I mean, after a really dreary weekend,
seeing the blue sky again and then the clear air.
It was great.
The air quality is phenomenal right now.
Yeah.
That was great.
Loved it.
All right.
It's been nice.
Thanks, Erica.
