It is jam-packed with Brewers fans here.
The crowd's a little smaller than Monday and Tuesday,
but I can tell you it
is overwhelmingly Milwaukee fans out here celebrating,
getting amped up tonight for the big game.
It is a must-win for them.
They say it's going to happen tonight.
I am joined here with Craig Dexheimer, who was at last night's game,
who has one of the most incredible stories.
Tell us what you're holding there.
Yeah, so Ashley, right here is the 12th inning home run ball
that Cooper Pratt hit that put us up in the lead
in the World Series in the top of the 12th inning.
And I tell you what, this right here could have been one
of the most infamous pieces of Milwaukee Brewers baseball history
in the history of the organization.
Just tell me where you were sitting, who you were with,
and that moment when you got the ball.
Yeah, so we're sitting in left center, third row,
and all of a sudden, Cooper's up to bat,
and he hits it off the bat hot, and we're looking,
and a couple guys are like, it's coming here.
And we looked, and it's coming in, and sure enough,
I mean, first off, I was jumping up
and down because it was a home run.
Second of all, he hits the row behind me,
and everyone's screaming and cheering, and
I look down, and in between my feet is this ball.
And I literally jumped on it like a Packers linebacker.
I just smothered it, came up,
and all my buddies are looking around for the ball,
and I tapped one of my buddies from Eau Claire.
I said, Barry, I got the ball.
And we stood up, and the whole place went nuts, and there we were.
So it was an unbelievable out-of-body moment.
And you said for a few minutes you were wondering
if you maybe needed armed guards to get out of the place.
Yeah, absolutely, because you think, okay, we're up one,
goes to the bottom of 12, so everyone around me is like,
you know what that ball could be worth
when the Brewers win this series tonight.
So my heart's beating out of my chest.
I was like, oh, my gosh.
But even without the Brewers winning last night,
this is still an amazing piece of history.
So I got to tell you, it was such an amazing experience last night.
Tell me real quick what you're going to do with this now.
Yeah, so my mom teaches for special needs back in Kohler, Wisconsin.
She's retired now.
One of her students has cerebral palsy, AJ.
And I told him, I texted AJ before I left, I said,
AJ, if I get a home run ball, it's coming to you.
I had to call him this morning and say, AJ, here's the deal.
Cooper Pratt's agent, really, Cooper wants this ball.
And AJ's like, you know what, let's get Cooper that ball.
So we're working right now to get this ball back to him tonight.
AJ, we love you out there, and here we go.
Let's go, Brewers.
We'll get a win for AJ tonight.
How about that?
Let's get a win for AJ tonight.
