Changed the game every pitch when he's on defense
and then when he's up to hit.
And he did that this postseason.
He drove in runs.
He just, when we needed him, he showed up every time.
And so there's no one more deserving than that guy,
and I'm so fired up for him.
You've got a postseason Major League Baseball record.
What was it like to be such a big part of this team
that made franchise history for the first time?
Yeah, I'm just glad to be a part of it.
If you take a single piece out of this team, it's not the same.
Everyone has different contributions throughout the year,
and I don't know that you can remove anyone
from this team when we're here.
Everyone had such a contribution all year long,
and I think that's what makes this thing so special.
You and I talked yesterday just about team accomplishments.
Maybe it was today. I don't even remember.
but team accomplishments, baseball accomplishments in your life.
Can you just, this is fresh in your mind,
but what is this for a guy who's played it his whole life
and kind of had to scrap your way this far?
To be able to do this as a team with,
I know I keep saying best friends,
but we're literally all just the best of friends.
And to be able to accomplish something like this,
the season that we had,
the postseason that these guys had, I cannot put it into words,
but it's one of the most special things
I've ever been a part of in my life
and probably will be a part of in my life.
It's so rare to get to this point,
and so I think these guys are just going to enjoy it while we're here.
People have talked about this team being the sum of its parts.
If that's true, who are these parts that make up this sum?
That's a question right there, sum of parts and addition.
You're capable.
From top to bottom, from ownership all the way down to the clubhouse,
guys like everyone's treated everyone's treated
the same here like it's just it's a special place
it's a unique place i've never i've i've been here my whole career
so i can't speak on other
teams but i can speak on guys that come over here from other teams
and are just baffled at how
things are run here and how people are treated
and in the way that things are here um and i think
it's a just what ownership does what front office does
and just this family aspect and uh it's it's
unbelievable to see it all come together right here you told us
this week here for as you started
in junior college you pitched and there was like tumbleweeds
and dirt and grass and everything
and tonight they're handing out souvenir papers
of you guys being world champs aaron it's different
that's different uh that's that's a uh it's quite
a uh quite a difference in scenery but uh
Man, I really can't put it into words.
This is a really special thing.
And there's just been so many small steps to get to this point
from certainly that moment in junior college, yeah.
Have you been on the same path, really?
I mean, like you've recommended him to the Brewers.
What do you think when you see a guy like that,
knowing how many innings and stuff, just shoved tonight at game six?
Yeah, this is when you bear down
and uh you you you got to put it out there
on the line he's he's got the best fastball in the game
he relied on it tonight he used it he said here it
is i'm gonna wait until you do something with
it to change and uh he was the man tonight
