630 drones were flying towards the Moscow region on the evening of the previous day and on the night of October 22, most of which were shot down at distant locations, RBK reported, citing Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. "163 drones were neutralized as they approached Moscow. Two people were injured in the Voronovo district of the TiNAO; they are receiving all necessary assistance. Emergency services are working at the site of the crash," he added.
Sobyanin has been reporting on the air raid response since 2:00 a.m. In the wake of the attack, temporary restrictions on flight arrivals and departures were imposed at all four airports in the capital's air hub—Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Sheremetyevo. Aeroflot changed its schedule, canceled some flights, and diverted planes to alternate airfields. By 5:20 a.m., the restrictions were lifted.
Meanwhile, according to the publication Astra, drones attacked the "75 Arsenal" military plant in Serpukhov. Eyewitness videos reportedly show an explosion on the plant's grounds and a fire following the drone strikes. In addition, local residents wrote in Serpukhov chat groups about the possible impact of at least three missiles.
