Let me bring our Missouri Ole Miss game into the fold.
A tricky one here today.
A number that is moving towards Mizzou.
I'm seeing right now, and let me try
and get a couple of numbers for this game.
I'm seeing fours start to appear.
Four and a half, still five and a half out there,
but a number working a little bit towards the Tigers.
I know this one's going to hit your card here.
What do you like?
I'm looking at Ole Miss.
It's been a great ride for Missouri,
and we talked about it a little while ago with Kentucky.
Missouri knocked off Florida.
They knocked off A&M.
They lost late to Mississippi State in the Camarillo game.
This is a fourth straight big-time SEC opponent,
and at some point, Missouri is not going to play a perfect game
like they did against Florida, like they did against A&M.
Those games were at home.
Now they hit the road to Oxford.
Ole Miss has not played at home since beating LSU last month.
They've been on the road or had a bye.
The Rebels rebounded from Florida loss
by blowing out Vandy last week throwing up 52 in Nashville
you know it's Vandy but they still scored 52, Kwan Lacy came
in he was able to get a couple of
carries off the bye seven carries
in a touchdown i think he's rested the Ole Miss offense is rested
you got Trinidad Chambliss champing at the bit
no one Simmons is on the other side keep in mind
Missouri's defense is 114th in the country
in explosive plays allowed this is what Ole Miss does
They're an explosive team.
They even did that against Florida in the loss.
Rebels, just like LSU, can't afford a loss here.
Now, neither can Missouri, but if you told me before the season
I was going to be able to get Ole Miss minus five versus Missouri,
I would like it then, and I even like it now more
that Missouri has a few good wins on their belt.
Remember, they lost the only SEC road game they played.
They lost that one at Mississippi State.
This isn't Oxford.
I think Ole Miss takes care of business today,
and I think they win by double digits.
I think it's absolutely on the cards.
I would lean, I think, Ole Miss' direction with you.
I am so excited to see what we get from these quarterbacks.
Missouri early season, the run defenses looked very good.
Ole Miss is at their best throwing the football,
but that might also have to do with Kewan Lacey missing time.
And Lacey is back.
He played against Vanderbilt.
He also only carried the ball seven times
because it was his first game back.
And also, I mean, I don't know,
you could argue it was seven carries too many.
They beat Vanderbilt so bad.
Why bother?
You know, I think Trinidad,
Trinidad Chambliss, though,
is very interesting how this stuff works
because they play, you know,
the marquee Sunday game against Louisville
and he throws for, you know,
he ends up with four total touchdowns
and almost 400 yards of offense.
Then you get the incredible LSU game
where, again, it's just,
the guys the Heisman trophy favorite it's all him it's all him
and even in the Florida game like I
remember you know you know myself and Dave
and our crew will talk throughout the slate and even
though Florida like felt in control it
was like we can't stop this kid like it like he's just
it just keeps you know it just keeps coming
and I think that's what's going to be really
fascinating here for Mizzou is you mentioned
the game that they lost it was this you know kind of
track meet shootout with Miss State
and they at the end of it could not just keep up uh in the way
that was required of them i'm
so excited to see how these quarterbacks look because and just to
you know draft wise there's hype around both guys
the chambliss hype is maybe pulled back a little
bit the simmons stuff is is on the rise here you know
which quarterback do you trust more and i'm
sure that's part of you know backing Ole
Miss because for most people the answer is trinidad
It is, and even in that loss to Florida, as you mentioned,
Trinidad was amazing in the second half.
And Ole Miss might win that game
if Ole Miss threw any defense whatsoever
against Florida in the second half
because they weren't stopping Trinidad.
I think this is just a spot.
You mentioned Lacey.
I mentioned Lacey.
They're easing him back in.
I think that was smart to only give him seven carries.
They crushed Vandy in a walkover game.
I think at some point the wheels are going to fall off for Missouri.
Is it this week?
I think this is a tough matchup for them.
