Those Cleveland Guardians, I should say,
have a 2-1 lead in that series, Bob.
I mean, a little bit surprised there.
I thought the Rays would really kind of control this series.
But this Guardians team, man, I mean,
they really are really battling the Rays here.
Do you think this thing goes seven?
I think, yeah, it definitely goes back to Tampa.
They really do.
I've been lucky with my picks so far.
Now you know, I've got every series right.
I picked the Rays to win this thing.
I actually picked the Rays to win this in five.
I just think they would be so tired, exhausted.
I think the Rays are the best team in the American League.
They've proved that all year.
So I think if Cleveland wins this series,
it would be almost as big an upset as the Brewers and Dodgers.
So I still think this thing goes back to Tampa, and we'll see.
The Rays are awfully good.
Does any of the American League teams,
do any of these teams have a shot
at that Brewers team or the Brewer team?
Are they just on a heater right now, Bob?
It's only on a heater.
I think the Rays would have a better chance
to beat the Brewers than Cleveland would.
But the one thing that's going to hurt the Brewers is a long layoff.
Now you're talking eight days between games.
I saw the Washington Nationals got away with it.
I've seen teams like Detroit Tigers fall apart because of it.
So it'll be interesting to see how they handle this.
But you can get rusty in a hurry here.
That's a long layoff.
So the television networks, I mean, wow.
You've got three of the lowest payroll teams in all of baseball.
You've got small market baseball teams now.
How do you think Major League Baseball
and the networks are looking at this?
I mean, this is a big obstacle here.
Look, you and me, we're traditionalists.
I love this.
I think this is what baseball is all about.
But again, this is a money thing here,
too, when it comes to these networks.
How do you think they're taking these three teams right now,
two of them battling for the ALCS?
I think they're drinking heavily right now
because they know this is going
to be the lowest World Series rating of all time.
It's not going to be close.
The worst one we've had is Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks.
This would be worse.
And what hurts, too, is a long layoff.
You know, people kind of lose interest.
Oh, baseball's still going on, you know, with the Brewers and Dodgers
ending so early.
They really need the ALCS to go seven games to help it out.
But, yeah, when it's all said and done,
all that talk about the Dodgers,
are they bad for baseball?
Well, it turns out they're great for baseball because they're great for
ratings and everything else.
So there's going to be a little interest in this one.
This is the first time in, I think,
in history, you know, at least ALCS, NLCS history,
there were no national newspapers that covered the ALCS.
Kind of shows you where the interest lies.
Holy cow, really?
Nobody's covering the ALCS.
And by the way, you mentioned, Bob, you mentioned this too.
So one of the games is going to be played
on ALCS is going to be played on
Packers and Cowboys night for the NFL.
Yeah, I was on some Milwaukee radio station the other day,
and they said, what do you think about Fox
not doing the World Series game too?
I said, what are you talking about?
They said, I think they're going
to do the Packers game, Packers-Cowboys.
It starts at 7.30, so about the same time as the World Series.
So that World Series game went FS1.
I said, you know what?
It makes sense.
As of today, some Brewer fans are watching
that Packers-Cowboys game, too.
Two huge names in football.
So, yeah, it'll be fascinating to see the ratings for that one.
