Sophie Cunningham, WNBA Controversy, & Rising Fame

We have Sophie Cunningham, and I think we have a LatinNation.com story about Sophie Cunningham. Very peligrosa. Let's talk about this, my friends. So Sophie Cunningham is going to be the hottest free agent this year, and one of the reasons that she's the hottest free agent has a lot to do with the fact that she's a controversial player. So one of the biggest reasons why the WNBA is so popular this year is a lot of the controversies. We talked about Caitlin Clark and some of the race baiting issues with some of the other players that that are fouling her hard but also Sophie Cunningham has waded into the waters of the trans debate whether trans women should be playing in women's sports now i'm i'm not getting into that conversation i'll leave that for other people you guys do not have to get into that conversation there's so many shows here in Latin Nation that deal with that we deal with the culture but we but we can make the observation that the controversial topics have brought eyeballs to the WNBA. Now, they've gotten so popular this year that they moved the finals. The Atlanta team made the finals. They moved the finals from their 3,000-seat arena to the Atlanta Hawks arena that seats 20,000. So, look, if the result is more popularity, I think that we should applaud that. I can name a bunch of WNBA players for the first time in my life. I'm paying attention. We're looking at the graphics. So, sold out. Every drop of sneakers from the WNBA players have been selling out the same day The Cunningham, the Caitlin Clarks, all of these, the popularity is amazing. I'm very happy to see that women's sports are growing in every direction. But like you said, with the increased visibility, also a lot of pace, a lot of chisme, a lot of hype. And we're learning a lot about how controversy brings more eyeballs here at Latinx TV over the past few months. Yes, yes, yes, we do.
