What do you like in tonight's ballgame and why?
I heard you in the previous segment.
You were on Seattle, and I'm with you there.
Sam Darnold for his career, over his last nine games at least,
6-1 against the spread following a loss.
And the bounce back's there.
I heard the sound you had going there
where he's going to value the ball
and he's preaching this stuff.
He's plus money right now to not throw an interception,
but you're missing the corners for Denver right now.
You've got Moss is questionable.
Sertan's already out.
To me, that just screams Jackson Smith
and Jigba for like a dozen targets, if not more.
The running game behind Wilson is good enough.
And right now, the defense is good enough.
Bo Nix isn't playing well.
I don't think this is going to be an overly exciting game
as far as like shootout, 35-28 kind of game.
But I do think Seattle controls this kind of from start to finish.
Something like 27-17 makes sense to me.
No question.
Do you think one of the issues has been maybe
the inconsistency in that run game for Seattle out of the gate
so far because you know last year they were able
to get it going here with that dual threat that
they have with those two running backs they had now all of a sudden
and not having Clay Kubiak
it's kind of wobbled a little bit right
so has that been a factor and when you see some of these
numbers now seattle last year was blowing people's doors off now all
of a sudden you don't have that
play caller and so has that been an impact
on this offense yeah i certainly think so it's funny how
easy the game of football can be when you hold all the cards
and all the leverage and everything
like that you're playing with the lead
and you get to dictate tempo but these last few games for
Seattle that hasn't been the case you're putting
a lot of pressure on the defense which I think is
fine this defense is about as good as it gets
but yeah the run game you're talking multiple injuries
here Emmanuel Wilson is probably on the low end of average
when it comes to running backs and right
now he's all they've got because George Helani's fumbling
the ball in their own end zone and losing
the game that way so there's there's certainly a push
and pull situation there but Sam Darnold
point blank has to be better if he doesn't want
to be labeled as a game manager that just gets
this team to the finish line he's got to be able
to win games not just not lose them kyle do you
think the inconsistency in Denver has been with Davis Webb
and now all of a sudden they're going
back to Sean Payton or do you think Bo Nix
is kind of coming back to the pack now you know
sometimes you'll get a quarterback that is a shooting star
and sometimes guys continue to
get better and better and better remember
something he's an older quarterback too
I'm not saying that we're all of a sudden seeing
the backside of Bo Nix's career here but people
look like they're catching up with him
a little bit he's over explaining everything right now and
this is kind of who he
is right yeah I think both things both things can be true at least
at some level the play caller situation that's not fun going back
and forth and you've got a
head coach slash play caller and he's watching over the shoulder
then you bring in Jaylen Waddle
it's like oh yeah we we hosted the AFC championship game a year ago
and now we're going to bring in an
alpha receiver and kind of tell you to restructure
the offense i don't trust the run game the defense
hasn't been as reliable but as it stands we're
through five weeks they're five and three and two
they've got losses to the Chiefs
and 49ers let's not act like this team's the Chargers or anything
they just haven't looked great
but they're getting the results right now and that's kind of a good
teams do right they win when they don't have their best
and then they're they're tough to
be at the highest levels when they do have
their best this is an interesting game for me
tonight i think the winner assuming it looks okay
the winner is gonna kind of emerge with
a lot of confidence and the loser is gonna
have more questions than answers
