The Security Service of Ukraine shot down two Russian fighter jets at a military airfield in Adygea – a Su-35 and a Su-34. This was reported by the Service's press center .
According to the SBU, the Khanskaya military airfield in the Russian Republic of Adygea was successfully attacked last night. The target was approximately 500 kilometers away. Thus, the SBU's Alpha Special Operations Center drones struck: The Su-35 is a multi-role fighter jet that is considered one of Russia's most modern combat aircraft, with an export value of approximately $100 million; The Su-34 is a fighter-bomber, a key aircraft of Russian tactical aviation, with an export value of approximately $50 million. ammunition depot on the airfield territory.
As reported, Ukraine periodically carries out precision strikes against Russian military targets. Specifically, a drone storage and launch site in Russia's Oryol Oblast was recently struck. From there, jet-powered drones are launched to terrorize Kyiv's civilian population.
"Both aircraft are carrying guided aerial bombs, which the enemy is using en masse on the front lines and in Ukrainian cities," the SBU emphasized.
In addition, oil facilities in the Samara and Volgograd regions of the aggressor country were struck. As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, there are also important results from Ukrainian long-range strikes deep in Russia's rear.
"A target in the Black Sea was hit, as well as a launch and storage site for attack drones in the Oryol region. Strikes were carried out on an oil facility in the Samara region and an occupier supply depot in the Bryansk region," Zelensky emphasized. In this regard, the President believes that such fair responses are precisely what is needed now.
Zelensky assured that we will continue to deprive Russia of the opportunity to continue this war. A successful operation was also carried out in the Black Sea and in the Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Samara, and Krasnodar regions of Russia, targeting airfields, enterprises, oil refineries, a rocket and space center, and an ammunition depot belonging to the occupiers.
