The reformatting of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Donbas by creating two new operational commands under the leadership of legendary commanders Denis Prokopenko and Andriy Biletsky has provoked a very strong reaction from Z-channels.
The major Z-channel "Military Informant" was not pleased with the significant reinforcement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a key section of the front for the Russian Federation. "The enemy is currently concentrating its largest and most combat-ready forces to defend the last belt of fortresses in Donbas," the propaganda outlet wrote. Z-blogger Yuriy Podolyaka also began to suspect that Ukraine would not surrender Donbas to Russia without a fight. "The appointment of two new commanders to this line once again demonstrates that Kyiv will not voluntarily surrender Donbas. Moreover, the hint is very clear and unambiguous," the propagandist wrote. Far-right Z-blogger Alex Parker Returns, who lives abroad, has launched a slam against Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for the incident. "Ukraine's position in the Donetsk sector will be strengthened thanks to two updated groups... They will be commanded by Heroes of Ukraine Denis Prokopenko and Andriy Biletsky. Let me remind you that Prokopenko, a "wise" politician, released the Azovstal battalion from prison along with iPhones and tiramisu in exchange for Medvedchuk's grandmother. Now this decision will cost the blood and lives of a large number of Russians. And that's always the case with him," the Z-war correspondent fumed from abroad.
It was also reported that the Z-propagandist acknowledged the Russian army's impotence in front of the bridge in Zatoka. Z-propagandist Viktor Baranets, responding to the call to "hit hard" on Ukraine, stated that even the destruction of the bridge in Zatoka is beyond the Russian Armed Forces' capabilities.
The bridge in Zatoka, Odesa region, is of strategic importance, as it connects the northern and southern parts of the region. The Russian army attempted to destroy it 12 times, but failed, Baranets admitted. According to the propagandist, the area has an overly sophisticated air defense system, which has caused the Russian Armed Forces to lose a large number of combat aircraft. And long-range airstrikes are useless, as the KABs lack precision. "Well, take the bridge in Zatoka... We had about 12 attacks... The last attack only damaged the road section, the railway section remained. And it will take several hours to patch up the road section. Look at what they hit it with: aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, and our sabotage groups also tried to sneak up. I don't want to, and you understand why, tell you how many bomber planes we missed, which were tasked with smashing the bridge in Zatoka. This is another answer to the question of some ordinary people who are snide about why we can't. It's not that simple! Because there is a very serious air defense system over Zatoka... I spoke with the pilots. They tried to drop bombs. They launched from a range of 100 km. By the time the bomb reached the bridge, it would splash in the water 250-300 km away. That's also a big problem!" — Baranets said.
