The fuel situation has worsened in Moscow and the Moscow region. Gasoline queues are escalating into clashes between drivers, and some gas stations are selling only diesel at inflated prices. Due to the gasoline queues, restrictions have been imposed in two regions.

According to the Russian Telegram channel Astra, a driver filmed a video on the M-8 "Kholmogory" federal highway en route from Sergiev Posad to Moscow. Some gas stations along the road were closed, while others were only selling diesel. At some gas stations along the highway, queues have formed at those that are still operating, and fuel prices there are significantly different from what they are used to.

"Only diesel, no gasoline. And the prices here are outrageous: they want 100 rubles for 95 octane," eyewitnesses say about the situation on the M-8 highway.

The situation at gas stations is increasingly resembling panic. According to eyewitnesses, drivers, stuck in line for hours, sometimes simply give up trying to fill up.

"People are already abandoning their cars in lines out of desperation, because there's no gas. It's nowhere in the city," said an eyewitness who filmed a video on the night of August 14 near Savelovsky Station in Moscow.

Nervousness among drivers has resulted in outright clashes right at gas stations.

"Everyone was standing along the road for at least an hour. Then he drove onto the pump from the opposite direction, turned around, and ended up second!" one Moscow driver exclaimed indignantly in footage filmed

Fuel shortages in Moscow and the surrounding region are not isolated. According to Astra, queues and restrictions on gasoline sales following the new wave of Ukrainian drone attacks on oil refineries have been recorded in at least 12 Russian regions, including the Krasnodar and Primorsky Krais, as well as the Voronezh, Rostov, Ryazan, and Saratov Oblasts.

In two regions, authorities have already imposed direct restrictions on refueling. In the Orenburg and Lipetsk regions, an "odd-even" system has been in effect since August 13: cars with an odd first digit on their license plate are refueled on one day, and those with an even first digit on another.

The longest queues are being recorded in Sochi, where the fuel shortage has been ongoing for four days. The city administration has dispatched volunteers to gas stations, and resellers have appeared in the queues, selling space closer to the pumps.

Ukraine has no plans to cease attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. Increased Ukrainian drone production and the development of missile capabilities could allow it to inflict even greater damage on Russian oil facilities. Political and economic expert Taras Zagorodniy stated this. "Ukraine is determined to break Russia's back, although no one says it out loud. Out loud, we are exclusively for peace, because that's the condition for helping Ukraine," Zagorodniy emphasized.
