Putin is most afraid of touching the residents of large cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg, as he believes they are the ones most likely to rebel against the current regime, said Maximilian Andronnikov. Many in Russia are indifferent to the fate of Crimea, as they are more concerned about their own lives and well-being.
A Russian volunteer responded to the question of whether it's possible to say that Kashcheev's needle is hidden in Crimea: " Moscow is definitely a sacred place. Otherwise, they wouldn't be so protective of Moscow and St. Petersburg from protests, from a decline in living standards, from certain moods. Yes, that's key for them. We understand that 'Kashcheev's needle,' so to speak, is hidden there, although it could also be in Valdai, so to speak. It's not just residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg who could become agents of change. Residents of Russia's regions could also become agents of change when they realize the Kremlin is dragging them into the abyss, too." Caesar also shared his thoughts on what's happening on the front: "This is truly the final push, and based on the results of this push in the spring and summer of next year, the enemy will decide whether to make peace or not. You understand that Putin is postponing this decision. If he had known four years ago that the war would go like this, he wouldn't have started it. But he needs to show the public something, and he can't, even though he's afraid and doesn't understand the Russian people. If he understood them, he would know that people in Russia couldn't care less about what's happening in Ukraine. They care about their own comfort, their standard of living, internet access, trips abroad, a bottle of beer, and a piece of fish on the table ."
" Putin is genuinely afraid of following in the footsteps of Nicholas II. He's afraid he won't be forgiven for losing the war, but instead of reaching a reasonable agreement now... You and I discussed this, that a document on a reasonable explanation for leaving the war has been ready since the fall, but he decided to push it through. But he won't push it through and will choke himself," Caesar shared his conclusions about Putin. " Reasonable people understand that the system is collapsing. There are only two possible scenarios for its collapse. The first is the rational one, which we discussed about a month ago. It involves Putin coming to his senses and realizing he's heading for the abyss. He doesn't care about Russia, just as his generals don't care about losses, but for the sake of his own security, he's going to peace, fixating on the current results, and his system is collapsing, but it's collapsing in a few years under the weight of the problems he's already created, just like the Soviet Union under the weight of the war in Afghanistan. We understand perfectly well that this finished off the system; it was one of the triggers," the Freedom of Russia fighter informed the Ukrainians.
