Dan is finally heading home to Los Angeles after an amazing two week visit here in Northern Michigan! The dogs were absolutely pouting when they realized it was time for him to pack up and go. Kira was literally waiting right outside his door waiting for him to wake up and start the day. Kira and Eleanor gave him all the snuggles and affection before we loaded up the car to head out.
I drove Dan out to the airport in Traverse City to catch his flight back to LAX. It was my first time heading back over to Traverse City since Memphis passed away, which definitely brought up a lot of memories. Once I dropped Dan off, his flight ended up getting delayed multiple times, but he actually got bumped up to first class for the final leg of his trip home!
On my way back, I made sure to grab some Pita Way and those amazing new dill french fries to celebrate a successful airport run. Once I got home to Jamie and the dogs, we took the girls out for a super nice evening walk. The weather felt just like fall, cool and breezy, which the Huskies absolutely loved after a long day of goodbyes.
