Insane Lightning Strike Right Next To Our House! ⚡The Dogs Didn't Even React!
We woke up to quite the wild morning after a crazy night of thunder, lightning, and nonstop rain. Jamie checked the weather map and found out a lightning strike hit literally a block and a half away from our house, which explains why it jolted us awake! It actually happened twice! It's wild how close it was! The storm dumped tons of water on the pool cover, but thankfully, by morning, the rain had gone away! It was a crazy storm that lasted most of the night! The dogs weren't even phased!
We took a trip down to Water Street Commons for Art on the Bay! The wind was blowing off the lake, giving us Michigan's natural air conditioning, and we got to check out all the amazing local artists, see the cruise ship shuttles coming in on the hazy bay, and grab some delicious food and drinks from Truck Your Pizza and Sassy Soda Co.
Back at home, the temperature dropped, but that didn't stop the fun. Dan braved the pool while Kira, and Eleanor had an absolute blast with a hilarious indoor play session. We wrapped up the day with a fun game night with friends and freshly made Reubens on the griddle. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
