These 7UP Cheesy Bacon Biscuits are soft, fluffy, cheesy, loaded with bacon, and incredibly easy to make! If you love homemade biscuits but don’t want a complicated recipe, you have to try these.

The 7UP helps give these biscuits a light and tender texture, while cheddar cheese and bacon add tons of flavor. Serve them warm with breakfast, alongside dinner, or turn them into an amazing breakfast sandwich with eggs and cheese as I did!

INGREDIENTS:
• 2 cups Bisquick, plus up to ½ cup extra as needed
• ⅓ cup cooked hickory-smoked bacon, finely chopped
• ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
• ½ cup sour cream
• ½ cup 7UP
• 1 tablespoon bacon grease
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• Non-stick cooking spray
• Additional bacon grease for lightly brushing the tops

OPTIONAL BREAKFAST SANDWICH

• 1 large egg
• Pinch of salt
• 1 tablespoon milk
• Black pepper, to taste
• 1 slice American cheese
• Non-stick cooking spray
• Small amount of olive oil

👨‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat the oven to 355°F. Place the hickory-smoked bacon
on a sprayed baking pan and bake for about 25 minutes,
or until crispy.

2. Let the bacon cool, then finely chop it by hand or in a
food processor. Measure out ⅓ cup.

3. Reduce/preheat the oven to 325°F for the biscuits.

4. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and set aside.

5. Add 2 cups of Bisquick to a large mixing bowl.

6. Add ⅓ cup chopped bacon and ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar
cheese. Mix until evenly combined.

7. Add ½ cup sour cream and gently mix it into the dry
ingredients. Do not overwork the dough.

8. Stir in 1 tablespoon of bacon grease.

9. Pour in ½ cup 7UP and gently mix until a soft biscuit
dough forms.

10. If the dough is too wet or sticky, gradually add some
of the reserved Bisquick, up to about ½ cup, until the
dough can be handled without sticking heavily to your
hands.

11. Sprinkle Bisquick onto your work surface. Place the
dough on the surface and gently pat it out. Do not
overwork the dough.

12. Spray a glass pie baking dish with non-stick cooking
spray and pour the 2 tablespoons melted butter into
the bottom.

13. Use a biscuit cutter to cut the dough into round
biscuits. This recipe makes about 6 biscuits.

14. Place the biscuits directly into the butter in the
baking dish.

15. Lightly brush the tops with a little bacon grease.

16. Bake at 325°F for 15–20 minutes, or until the biscuits
are cooked through and lightly golden.

17. Remove from the oven and allow the biscuits to cool
slightly before serving.

🍳 OPTIONAL CHEESY EGG BREAKFAST SANDWICH

1. Crack 1 large egg into a small bowl.

2. Add a pinch of salt, 1 tablespoon milk and a little
black pepper. Beat until combined.

3. Lightly coat a skillet with non-stick spray and a small
amount of olive oil.

4. Pour in the egg and cook over medium heat.

5. Add 1 slice of American cheese and fold the egg around
the cheese to create a small omelet-style packet.

6. Slice a warm 7UP Cheesy Bacon Biscuit in half, add the
cheesy egg and serve.
