in the season ahead. It has been incredible. This weekend we saw an amazing game. America
versus Tigres. Yes. Incredible game. Campeón de campeonas. America took it 4-3 winning
in penalties because it was 1-1 in regular time. This was an amazing match. You know
here on Latin Nation Football Club I have been talking about America since las Clasuras.
I mean no I'm not saying that but I'm just saying I can respect this right. In two finals
ago we saw Tigres versus America and I knew that America had more. I have to give it to
you. You actually called it in that game that you said although Tigres won this is the changing
of the tides because America is looking better. And you know they proved it in the final and
they proved it again this weekend. So all of that is in preparation to the new Liga
MX Femenil. Just rebranded with a whole new structure my friends. Vamos a las conferencias.
That's right. We're going to play in a conference model. Two conferences. Now the teams are
going to be divided. They're going to play against every team in their conference and
just a selected group of the other conference. Now these abolished mid-week games which is
very important to grow the attendance to the Liga MX Femenil games. They start this weekend
and we have some massive games for the first Fornada Número Uno. Cruz Azul contra Atlas.
Juárez contra Pachuca. Tigres contra Puebla. Tijuana contra las Rayadas. This is going
to be great. Rayadas is another big team. If you don't know let me tell you and break
it down. America, Tigres, Rayadas y Pachuca son las meras meras. And then we go into a
second tier with Chivas, Pumas, Atlético de San Luis. Atlante making their big debut
in the equipo femenino. This is going to be exciting. Now Camila we've seen the growth
of Liga MX. How important was to make this change? Do you think that this is something
that is going to benefit the league? Is this just gimmicky to you? We're adopting a new
style that is completely foreign to Mexico but is this in benefit of the game? I mean
definitely right? It kind of looks like your MLS. You have two conferences and I think
what this does is it makes it more personable. You have your conferences therefore new rivalries
start to brew like the Miami Columbus one that we saw. And that at the end of the day
attracts more people to the game. That's what we need for a women's side of football. Liga
MX is already growing so much but I think this is just going to give it that extra boost
and a little bit more. For me the most important thing is that they are removing these midway
games that were completely empty all the time. I think it's very important that we provide
women with the best possible scenarios for them to grow the game. To have people be able
to come on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to watch the women play just like they do with
the guys my friends. This is very very important. The regular phase is going to end up on the
weekend of 5th and 6th of November. The quarterfinals are 11th to 16th of November and then they
pause for the FIFA date. Then the semifinals between 9th and the 13th of December and well
we go to the 20th of December for the Grand Finale. So much football. And what's happening
next summer? And then we get to the end of the year. And then we go to Brazil. And then
we go to see the 2027 Women's World Cup. Camila this is so important as you guys know if you've
been watching Latinasia Football Club you know that I'm super fan of Marta and she gets
to the pinnacle of her career with a World Cup in her home soil, retiring and with a
possibility for Brazil to compete for the Cup. The United States, England, Spain and
even I would dare to say Mexico are some of the top favorites because Mexico has been
growing a lot. They have an important game in November to qualify directly. Camila let
me tell you I'm so excited to see what you're going to do to cover the game. What do we
need to be preparing for in expectation for this tournament? That's a great question.
I think we're going to be preparing for a lot of quality right? The biggest thing I
hear is oh well you know it's not the same game, it's not as fast but because it's not
as fast I think you know there are still other parts of the game which are incredible to
watch. You're not going to see as much flopping. You're going to see the actual game. We're
not going to have as much stoppage time because people aren't going to be flopping on the
ground. I'm just saying let's take a quick look at which teams have already qualified.
We have 16 teams so far. Of course the hosts Brazil, out of Asia we have Australia, China,
Japan, North and South Korea, the Philippines all going through, South America, Argentina
and Colombia. These are two of the top women's football teams. Cuidado con Norcorea. I know
I sound like an onk but if you guys have been following Latin Nation Football Club you guys
know very well that when we were covering the younger divisions of the World Cup North
Korea was destroying opponents left and right so be careful with Norcorea for this World
Cup because also they're a bunch of unknown players. Nobody knows anything. Nobody knows
about the team. They don't play you know in foreign leagues so that's going to be one
of the things that are going to be very interesting.
