The other thing I want to talk about from that round is
there are just a few, a handful, I feel like,
of just pure joys you can see in the game of golf,
probably like prime Tiger Woods driving the golf ball,
watching you putt.
I think it is, we live in an age of AimPoint
and zero torque mallets and broomsticks and
all these things.
And you've got that old school putter out there and,
and there's a ton of face rotation
and by golly, you make just about everything you look at.
And I wonder, I think there are a lot of people out here,
you know, they're, they listen to
us.
They watch us.
They're trying to learn about the game of golf.
Talk me through your putting routine.
Like, you walk up to the green, you're reading a putt,
you're going through your whole process.
How has that changed over the years, and how has it remained the same?
I'll tell you things that never has changed to me was the strike
and how hard to hit the ball.
You know, you have to have a certain touch.
After all, the touch dictates aim.
Yeah.
But you have to be able to read greens.
You have to.
You have to get it in your mind.
You have to picture the ball going along a certain arc,
but what it looks like as it arrives at the hole.
I'm sort of a die putter.
I don't like to rush past the hole,
but I grip the club very lightly.
I want the putter head to feel very heavy in my hand.
Mm-hmm.
And the tighter I grip the handle,
The lighter the head becomes, and that way it won't swing as well.
Interesting.
A heavy head swings a lot more.
