My Dog Keeps Spraying Herself With this Step on Water Toy!

The dogs are playing with their water toys today, and things got pretty wild in the backyard! An anonymous person sent the dogs a water rocket toy, and it was actually pretty funny to watch. Kira couldn't resist trying to tip it over and grab the water right out from underneath it, but once we got the hose pressure just right, the rocket started floating in the air. We also brought out their step water toy, and it didn't take long for Kira to figure out exactly how to step on it to blast herself, and Eleanor, right in the face with water!
Inside the house, Eleanor surprised us by laying right down on the kitchen floor while lunch was being made. She heard the cheese bag and officially stepped up to be the new kitchen helper, even if she had to pay the cheese tax for the pizza. It made my heart so happy to turn around and see her there. We also spent some time talking about all the amazing cards, letters, and drawings you guys have sent for Memphis. We really do appreciate every single thing, even if we've had a hard time reading through them without getting emotional.
To wrap up the day, we went for a beautiful evening walk before the big summer heatwave hits. The dogs got all worked up spotting multiple bunnies hiding in the grass, which led to some serious husky stompies! Before heading to bed under the stars, Eleanor settled into a very special spot against the bean bag chair. It used to be Miss Memphis's favorite spot, and seeing Eleanor take over that cozy corner brings so much comfort. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
