Today is an absolutely beautiful fall day and I am starting it off by hanging out with my brothers Dog, Stewart. He is so goofy and goes totally crazy for a good game of fetch in the yard. Jamie is working hard on the roof out at the new house, so I am running around making sure everyone has lunch and trying to keep these Siberian Huskies entertained. We even squeezed in some pool time for the kids while the adults worked, even though it is only 67 degrees outside!

The absolute craziest part of our day happened last night when we got a surprise visit from a wild skunk! We have affectionately named him Stinky Kitty. He wandered right up to our glass door and ate a bunch of peanuts we had outside. I was so proud of Kira and Eleanor for being such good dogs and not barking or scaring him away. We just sat quietly and watched him snack for the longest time. It was such a cool experience to see him up close without anyone getting sprayed!

Later in the evening, I took the girls for a nice long walk around the neighborhood by myself. We checked all our usual spots for bunnies, admired the beautiful sunset, and even spotted the mystery machine van again! Jamie got home super late from working on the house, so we are all exhausted and ready for bed. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
