A two-kilometer stretch of Highway T0508 between Pokrovsk and Grishino in the Donetsk region has become a veritable "road of death" for Russian occupiers. The 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on its Facebook page.
According to the 7th Corps, Route T0508 is the shortest route from Pokrovsk to Grishino, but there is no cover there, and the forest belts have been significantly thinned by shelling. Despite this, the enemy continues to use this road for constant infantry assaults. The occupiers don't even attempt to use military equipment here.
Over the past 50 days, fighters from the Unmanned Systems Forces of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops have inflicted significant losses on the enemy along this two-kilometer stretch of highway; in particular, UAV pilots have eliminated approximately 100 Russian occupiers there.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on June 11, Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions 47 times in the Pokrovsk sector of the front, which includes Pokrovsk and Grishino. Ukrainian forces repelled all attacks.
The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka, Muravka, Grishino, Kotlino, Udachnoye, as well as in the direction of Novy Donbass, Belitskoye, Shevchenko, Novopavlovka and others.
Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of responsibility of the "East" group of forces are countering enemy attempts to infiltrate and accumulate in the space between their positions. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their positions. Recall, Russian occupiers have brought the 90th Tank Division into Pokrovsk, using the city to accumulate forces and equipment. In Grishino, Russian troops are attempting to break through and bypass Ukrainian Armed Forces positions. The capture of Grishino remains the enemy's primary objective. Several units from various Russian brigades are operating in this direction. For a long time, enemy infantry attempted to advance directly into the village, while others attempted to bypass Grishino across the open field and advance north toward Vasilyevka. Defense forces of Ukraine engaged the enemy with all available means—artillery, aviation, FPV drones, and small arms. In this case the Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian occupiers, who are attempting to penetrate the northern part of the city in small groups and gain a foothold. Due to our countermeasures, the enemy is unable to sufficiently accumulate forces near the industrial zone in the northwest of the city. Therefore, the enemy is unable to conduct open, direct assaults on Grishino, which is currently one of the priority targets in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. It is noted that instead, the Russians are operating in small infantry groups, trying to approach Grishino through forest belts from the south.
