As reported Ukrainian long-range drones have covered over 3,400 km and reached the Omsk Oil Refinery. Meanwhile, the distance from the Ukrainian state border to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is approximately 2,500–3,000 km. This effectively overcomes one of the key obstacles that has long prevented access not only to the oil refineries, the end consumers, but also to the production sites themselves. A military expert known under the pseudonym Exilenova+ writes about this. The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug is the heart of the Russian oil industry. This region accounts for approximately 40% of Russia's total oil production. Hundreds of major oil fields and tens of thousands of wells are located here. This is the beginning of a chain that feeds a significant portion of the Russian oil and gas industry. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is no less important. The region accounts for over 75–80% of Russia's natural gas production. The country's largest gas fields—Urengoyskoye, Bovanenkovo, Yamburgskoye, and Zapolyarnoye—are located here. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is also one of the largest gas condensate and oil producing regions. While oil refineries were once the primary target, now the distance to Russia's main oil and gas production centers no longer seems out of reach. The hit on this strategically important Omsk Oil Refinery facility sparked unrest among Z-bloggers. Kremlin-loyal Z-resources are still silent. But ultra-patriots more distant from the state have already begun to express their indignation. "The damned ones have finally gotten to us. The Ukrainians are attacking the last major operating oil refinery in Omsk. Pip, here's the results," wrote the furious far-right Z-blogger Alex Parker Returns. Ilya Remeslo also didn't hold back his indignation. He allowed himself to criticize the regime and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin personally. "An attack on the Omsk Oil Refinery, and there are hits. It's the largest oil refinery in Russia. Meanwhile, the government's grandfathers are savoring the nighttime hits on Kyiv. Yes, they're happening, but here's the problem. The strikes on Kyiv don't stop the strikes on Moscow, St. Petersburg, Omsk, and other cities. No way. It's a dead end. But to understand this, you don't have to sit in the Kremlin for 26 years, but rather maintain the last vestiges of critical thinking," Remeslo wrote. Z-war correspondent Ilya Tumanov called the attack "expected and predictable." He suggested that the Ukrainian UAVs were able to fly such a long distance either due to increased fuel reserves or "skillful navigational calculations." Fighterbomber advises Russians to prepare for more such strikes, as well as for a worsening fuel crisis and even more expensive gasoline. "Actually, we need to accept the fact that we can't protect such easily hit targets as oil refineries and fuel storage tanks with our current means. We need to anticipate that the enemy will destroy repaired plants again and again. It's a no-brainer that the enemy can launch up to five hundred drones at a target if they need to. And tomorrow, it will be drones and missiles. I think our trading partners will quickly... set us such prices for gasoline that we won't be able to buy it in the quantities we need . And accordingly, we'll determine how many horses we need to produce this year and how many carts to build for them next year, if the odds are dire," Tumanov noted. Former Odessa deputy and collaborator Igor Dimitriev, who defected to the Russian Federation, also spoke out. "A year ago, it was clear that the Omsk Oil Refinery was one of Kyiv's most attractive targets. And Ukraine didn't hide it, boasting about new long-range developments. Can you imagine how much could have been accomplished in a year? But to even begin, we need to acknowledge that something is wrong—that something other than 'debris' is hitting the oil refinery, that the 'SVO's' targets seem to be unrelated, and that the 'retaliatory strikes' on Kyiv's high-rise buildings are backfiring," Dimitriev noted.
