Today started out like any other busy day in Michigan, but we ended up getting some not so great news at the vet. We took Memphis in for her regular blood work to check on her liver levels, which we've been monitoring every three months for over three years now. Unfortunately, the results came back ridiculously high, and her ALKP, ALT, and GGT levels are not where we want them to be. We are doing everything we can to stay positive, and next Wednesday she will be going back in for a chest X-ray, abdominal X-ray, an ultrasound of her liver and gallbladder, and a clotting test to see exactly what's going on.

Please remember to be kind in the comments below, as this is incredibly hard on Jamie and I. We truly view you as our family, and going through this together means the world to us. Memphis is 13 years old, and while we wish we had a magic potion to make her live forever, right now we are just focusing on keeping her comfortable, happy, and loved.

Despite the stressful news, life in the backyard keeps moving! The Michigan weather went from a humid 80 degrees straight down to a freeze warning in a matter of hours, and Jamie has been working hard on the pool cover and fixing up the fence for our backyard baby birds. Plus, Eleanor and I are getting ready to head out on a special solo road trip to Indiana tomorrow for an event! It's going to be so weird traveling with just one Siberian Husky, but we are going to bring you guys along for the whole ride.
