Dogs Get Ice Cream for National Ice Cream Day!

Well, good, wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience! Look at these girls. Are you ready to go in? You're all ready to go in, huh? I hear the cicadas are ready this morning. It's sunny. It's warm. And it's time to go to Art-on-the-Bay. Not you guys. I'm going to Art-on-the-Bay. I don't know what the neighbor just decided to do, besides get loud. Oh, they're riding a lawn mower down the road over there. I guess. So, every year in our town, we have the annual Brown Trout Festival, which is like a big fishing festival. It lasts like nine days and at the beginning of it, they have a huge art and craft show. So, my mom just called me and apparently, I'm going downtown to meet her at the art and craft show. It opens at 10. So, it's about 15 minutes. So, we're going to be there right when it opens. It's going to be warm. Hopefully, it will be a little bit colder because it's down by the water. Jamie's going to stay here with the dogs. Shelby's going to dig a giant hole. Shelby! Man, she's going to town. She's definitely ignoring me. Come on! What are you doing? Let's go inside! She says, no! I need to finish this hole. This is my life. Shelby! Hey! What are you doing? Your face is dirty. Come on! Let's go inside! Come on! She's like, you're faking it. No, we're going inside. Come on! Is that you? Is that you in the camera? That's you! It's like a mirror, only it's a camera. Every time it confuses you. You're like, wait! How did you do that? You just pulled that out of your pocket. I know, right? There you are! Are you eating puffs? Are you feeding the dogs? There's dogs over here, you can feed if you really want. I made it back from Art on the Bay and the only thing I bought was those cinnamon almonds that you have to buy anytime you go to a craft show. I didn't buy anything else. There's a couple of butterfly and dragonfly stuff that I wanted for the yard, but it was all so expensive. I wanted to support the people that were making the stuff, but some of it was just a little bit too much. What is going on down here? Who's under my feet? Is that you? Are you under my feet? I didn't pet any dogs. I saw some dogs, but I didn't pet any. I swear I didn't. No, I didn't. I did not bring you almonds. You can't have almonds. Sorry! You can't have almonds. It's National Ice Cream Day. We just stopped at North Country Candy and got ice cream. Greg's trying to not spill all over his lap. I'm gonna drive so it doesn't melt. Drive so it doesn't melt. As I said before, we had to rush away before all the ice cream melted. It's National Ice Cream Day! Jamie got cherry amaretto and I got you a waffle bowl with nuts. I know you're not as big of a fan of sprinkles as I am. You got cherry too, but you just got black cherry. Not amaretto. Yeah, and Greg got sprinkles. I got the flavor of the day which is actually my favorite flavor they have there. Eskimo kisses. I know, isn't that cool? My favorite flavor was on sale. I got a dollar off because it was the flavor of the day. Mine is delicious. I got you a double because you eat more than we do. If you're ever in Alpena... Doesn't it look amazing? It looks so good. North Country Candy and Gifts. They have the best ice cream. They have Superman ice cream if you want to know what it is. It's there. And, we got ice cream for the dogs too. But, we're eating our ice cream first before the dogs get their ice cream. So, it's National Ice Cream Day. The dogs have to get some ice cream as well. Somebody's excited for a little ice cream cone. I made them little mini ice cream cones. They just get a little bit of vanilla ice cream. Are you ready? Want some ice cream? Aww! Ice cream for Memphis! Everybody's gonna get some, but I figured it would be easier if I just did them one at a time. Wow! I thought you were gonna grab that cone. There you go! That's what I was expecting you to do. Grab that cone right out of my hand. So, I put just a little bit in the bottom and a little bit at the top. There's probably like less than a quarter of a cup of vanilla ice cream in there. Ice cream for puppies! I was like, this is great! Alright! Who gets one next? Alright! Shelby's turn! I know! Are you excited? Are you gonna take the cone? Are you gonna want me to hold it as well? Oh! There you go! You got it! You got this all by yourself. She's like, I can do this on my own. I may be a picky dog, but I know that I like ice cream. She'll probably take her time. Nobody else is out here. She's gonna lick it out of the cone. You can bite it! You can! She's like, nope! I'm gonna eat all the stuff out of the middle. Oakley's like, I was napping and then there was ice cream. Ice cream for Miss Oakley! Oh my goodness! Take your time honey! Nobody's gonna take it from you. Not even Shelby! Did you finish yours? You did! Good job! I thought you were gonna be a little slower. I was gonna let Oakley enjoy hers while you enjoyed yours. Oakley gets ice cream too. She's like, ooh! I get to eat the cone. Is that good stuff? Happy National Ice Cream Day girls! I know you guys are seeing this a little bit past National Ice Cream Day, but if you haven't seen them before, we've actually done quite a few different ice cream for dogs recipes. I didn't do one today. Today we just got them ice cream, because we figured we were getting ice cream as well. I will put a link to that playlist up in the cards above. You had your ice cream first. Squirrel friend is literally on the tree back there and nobody ran back there. He's on a tree way back in there. You didn't go for him Memphis? Where'd he go? Go get him! He went up the tree before I said that. Even Oakley's like, oh where are we running to? I will run too. This will be great. That's all the running I got in me. You all look so happy. Even Oakley looks happy today. Yep. Are you happy honey? Yeah, I'm sorry. The wacky wiggly sprinkler thing doesn't work. You wouldn't like it anyway. Be careful. It was in your path. I'm sorry. We will definitely have to move that for you. I love you fluffy butt. Yes I do. I don't know if you guys can see it way out there, but there's a mama deer and a baby deer. Not a super baby, but a young baby in the field out there. There she goes. There's the baby. Look at him go. Look at him running Jamie. Look how little it is. Go baby deer go. Let's see if I can zoom in. This is going to be a digital zoom. There's a little baby deer. Hi baby deer. Oh it's so cute. Oh there's mama. Mama's like run. Run Bambi run. Oh my gosh. They're so cute. That was pretty good timing that we got to see the mama and the baby. It's so cute. Oh how cool. So if you can't tell we made it out to the farm to check out the farm and water even though we had a little bit of rain the other day. It was really super humid last night. But uh look at how good everything's looking. Look at how big the pumpkins are looking. They're looking so big. These ones anyway. These ones are looking really good. Some of those are looking okay. The deer ended up going in there. And we tend to come out here at sunset. So the sun is setting and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Yep. Yeah these are looking really good. They're starting to get flowers. Are they all starting to get flowers? Oh yeah. There's definitely some flowers in there. Yeah so these ones on the edge are all like huge huge. But uh these ones not so much. Yeah. They're not bad. No they're not bad. They should still make good pumpkins I would think. I didn't weed around them once because there were radishes all over the ground there. Oh yeah. I think we showed that. Look it. See like this one is still tiny. It didn't really make it. I'm probably going to weed around them soon. Yeah. Alright. I'll let you get the water and I'll get out of the way. So before the farmer planted his field when we were out here and we were planting pumpkins I actually took and threw a handful of seeds like away from the garden out into this area where all the beans and stuff are. So like our gardens like right there. I threw a handful of pumpkin seeds that I had in my hand and look. There's a pumpkin plant and a pumpkin plant and a pumpkin plant. So we have some extra pumpkin plants just randomly over here in the field. That's funny that they actually grew. We didn't bury them. I literally just tossed them over here. Oh my gosh. There's a whole bunch of them. So we got some more random pumpkin plants. This one looks really nice for not having done anything to it. And then the farmers bean plants. Even though we haven't had a lot of rain they're looking pretty good. So hopefully he gets a nice crop out of here. The deer haven't popped out of there but they're hiding down in that stuff right there. I don't know if this camera will actually pick it up but there's the moon and Venus. You can see all the bugs flying in front of us too. We're getting ready to go home. We don't have a top in the Jeep but we're looking at the moon and Venus. I can digital zoom now. There it is. That's kind of cool. I guess this camera does pick it up even if it's digitally zoomed. Okay we better go before we get eaten alive. There's deer on our road. They're just chilling. We just left the farm. Saw a bunch of deer out there but now they're behind that lilac bush. Here I'll sneak up and look out my window. Hi deer. Hi dude. How's it going? Alright we'll leave you. You can go ahead and finish your dinner. We're going home. So apparently we don't even have to go out to the farm to see deer. They're in our neighborhood. Yeah they used to be in our yard and then we put up our fence. Good thing too. Yeah they were eating our apples. I don't think the dogs would enjoy deer in their yard. Yeah they might not like that. So I just let Oakley outside and this thing came inside. Hey little buddy. That's an actual frog not a toad. He decided to come visit our house. And now we have to try to catch him before he falls into the basement. I bet you can make a lot of noise down there, huh? Hey little frog friend. Let's go back outside. Hey Shelby. Your tongue is sticking out. You look ridiculously comfortable right there with that air conditioner blowing right on you. Your tongue right here. Your tongue right here. Sticking out. Your tongue sticking out. Oh I love you so much. Are you comfy? Nice and cold right there? Miss Oakley's over here sleeping. Nice and cold. Got it down to about 71 in the house. It's actually really cold in the living room. In the hallway it says 71. We're getting ready to go to bed. Memphis is already down in the hallway sound asleep on the office floor.
