Subscribe: http://bit.ly/SubToGonetotheSnowDogs So Shelby the Husky finally had her surgery on her paw to remove the infiltration fatty lipoma from between her toes! She also had a few other lumps removed during her surgery. Bumps and lumps on a dog can be a scary thing. We always advise to at minimum have a biopsy of those lumps done. It could mean life or death for your pet!

Well good, wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience!
Oh my goodness Shelby! Are you ready to tell everybody what happened?
So, if you guys aren't following us over at YouTube.com slash SnowDogsVlogs
which is our vlog channel where we upload usually Monday through Friday.
If you are not following us on our Instagram, Instagram.com slash GoneToTheSnowDogs
you may not know what's going on. We kind of mentioned it a little bit in a video recently.
But, Shelby finally had the surgery to get rid of that nasty lump she had on her paw.
Long story short, Shelby had an infiltrating fatty tumor on her paw.
I'll put a playlist link up above to the videos where we're talking about it.
The lump was getting pretty big and it was to the point where we really had to do something
or else she was going to be limping on it. It was going to start causing her pain.
It was separating her toes.
We took her down state to the Flint Surgical Center here in Michigan.
It was the Animal Surgical Center of Flint.
Dr. Doyle did the surgery.
Good news! He said, if he didn't get it all, he at least got like 95% to 97% of it.
Which is good! As I said, it's an infiltrating fatty tumor and infiltrating lipoma.
Which means, if he didn't get it all, it will slowly continue to come back.
Thankfully though, he got the majority of it.
Even if it does come back, it grows very, very, very slowly.
Hopefully, it won't come back.
If it does, hopefully it won't cause her any problems for a very long time.
You guys knew she was getting that done.
But, you can see her eye here.
See up a little closer on her eye?
She had a little eyelid tumor that we had removed as well.
She has had those before.
Basically, it's just a little bump on her eye.
Sometimes it can cause their eyes to turn a little red and kind of just be annoying.
We went ahead and had that removed as well.
Then, she had a little lump by the base of her tail removed.
Then, on this paw, same paw that she had, the big lump removed.
She had a little tiny one, like way back up here.
We went ahead and had that removed as well.
Shelby had a whole bunch of stuff done.
Didn't you? A whole bunch of stuff.
We should do a surgery recovery routine video for you guys.
So, you can see all the things we have to do for Shelby.
She has a special little boot that she has to wear on this little paw here.
So, when she goes outside, she doesn't get any of this wet.
So, yeah! It's kind of interesting.
So, yeah! We just kind of wanted to do this quick update video.
Update you guys on what's going on with Shelby's surgery.
She also had a blip on one of her scans for her liver.
They did a needle aspirate biopsy, I think is what it was called.
For the spot on her liver and it was found to be benign hyperplasia.
Which is awesome!
Basically nothing! Just old dog symptoms, I guess.
We don't have the results back for any of the other lumps yet.
We didn't have the paw tested because we had it tested before.
We already know what it is.
We didn't do the eyelid tumor because very clearly we knew what that was as well.
The other two lumps, we are sending out to get tested.
Are you drinking water like a fish there girl?
She's like, I'm drinking water like a fish guys, cause mom was talking.
So anyway, that's kind of a little bit of update on Shelby's surgery.
If you guys have any questions, leave them down below and I will try to answer as many as I can.
Anything you really want to know about the surgery.
The other thing was, I don't know if I talked about it on this channel,
but we got a message from our vet that said, Shelby might have stage two kidney disease.
Let me clarify that.
Kidney disease, not kidney failure. Two different things.
A specialist actually went over her stuff when we went down to Flint.
They said, if she does have it, which is a big if,
it would be in the very, very, very early stage one of kidney disease.
We are going to make a little bit of dietary changes just to be safe.
We are going to go ahead and have her blood tests run every six months.
Just so we can keep an eye on it.
If there are any major changes, we will know faster than normal.
What you think girl?
She's like, guys I'm on some medications and they make me feel very loopy,
but I ran around the backyard today even though I'm not supposed to in the snow.
The boot that she has actually goes from the bottom of her paw all the way up to the top of her paw.
So it keeps everything dry.
If she gets that bandage wet, we have to take her in and have it taken off and replaced.
Actually, next week Thursday she's going to have it replaced.
So yeah, the next couple of videos you guys are going to see,
were actually videos that were filmed before Shelby had her surgery.
Yeah, so as I was saying, we did a dog sledding video,
which I'm going to put up and then there was another video I did.
It was like a month ago.
I don't remember what it is, but I have it written down that we'll put up.
So you're probably going to see a couple videos where Shelby doesn't have that big thing on her foot
and that is because they were filmed before this.
But anyway, that is our short little update video.
Letting you guys know what's going on with Shelby.
As I said earlier in the video, if you want to follow us at Instagram.com
slash GoneToTheSnowDogs or on any of our other social sites listed down below.
We kind of do more real time updates on there since we only upload here twice a week now.
And then YouTube.com slash Snow Dogs Vlogs for videos normally Monday through Friday.
Every once in a while we miss one, but normally Monday through Friday.

Memphis says, oh my goodness that other dog is like getting all the attentions
and I'm not getting enough attention because like that dog is getting all the attention.
So like I'm sad.
You guys should pet me because I'm cute and I'm snuggable and look how snuggable I am.
Let's see if I can get her to do her little paw thing.
I'm going to pet you. How excited are you?
I'm going to pet you. It's going to happen.
I'm going to pet you. Oh my goodness.
I don't know if you guys can see her tail.
Watch her tail.
I'm going to pet you. It's going to happen.
Oh my goodness.
The anticipation is real.
You silly girl.
