I am giving you a few different options on how to make these. We are using these super fun silicone cauldrons I found at the craft store, but if you do not have those, you can easily use a muffin tray or a Woofsicle mold. The dogs were so impatient while I was mixing everything up. They basically tried to eat all the pumpkin and peanut butter right off the spoon before it even made it into the bowl!
Remember, this is a treat and not a meal replacement. Homemade dogs treats are a great way to have some fun with your dogs! Easy homemade dog treat recipes are something we love having the dogs make with us. Well, I guess they just steal all the ingredients for the dog treats, but you know what I mean! These homemade Halloween Dog Treats are easy and fun to make!
Spooky Witches' Brew Cauldron Treats Ingredients: 1 6oz Can of Dog Food (We used a mix of Venison and Rabbit) 1 Whole Can of 100% Pure Pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling) 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce 1/4 Cup Peanut Butter (Check for Xylitol/Birch Sugar!) 1/2 Cup Small Curd Cottage Cheese (1% Milk Fat) 1/2 Cup Nonfat Greek Yogurt Apple Chunks (To fill the bottom of the cauldrons) Decorations: Tiny chewy milk bones, dog-safe sprinkles, and crunchy eyeball candies
HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR DAY 🎃 Mixing up the pumpkin and applesauce before the dogs steal it all! 🥄 The girls making a hilarious mess trying to eat peanut butter off the spoon. 🥣 Stirring together the least appealing, but most delicious to dogs, treat mixture ever. 👻 Decorating the little cauldrons with tiny bones and spooky candy eyeballs. 👅 Watching them absolutely devour their cauldrons and making the biggest mess!

Guess what I'm doing today?
I am sure you can already tell.
Today, we are gonna make some
spooky Halloween treats for dogs.
Oh my goodness, this is gonna be so much fun.
We're gonna give you a couple
of different options on how to do this with
your dogs because I am using these fun cauldrons.
But we're gonna show you a few
different options in case you don't have those.
Are you ready to get to it? Let's get to it.
So I will have all of these ingredients listed out below along
with some links, affiliate links to
some of the things we use here in this video.
And real quick, we're going to go over everything you
need. Measurements will be listed out down below.
You're going to need a can of dog food of your
choice, some 100% pure pumpkin, not pie pumpkin,
just pumpkin filling, some unsweetened applesauce,
some peanut butter some cottage cheese
and some greek non-fat yogurt just make sure that none of
your ingredients have xylitol
in them make sure you check sometimes it's also called birch sugar
now when it comes to measuring these things i'll show you in a minute
but basically if you want to
leave any of this stuff out you totally can we're basically just going
to throw it all in this bowl
mix it together and then stuff it in a cauldron
and like i said some other options as well kira
is like i am all about this life right now let's make some tritos
the first thing we're going to
add to our bowl i'm going to add one whole can
of 100% pure pumpkin hey it's not going to be the
whole can if you just eat it straight out of the can
is it good stuff oh just wait till we're done
so we're going to put all of this into that bowl
and then get it out of your reach because you
just eat all of it it's all stuck on your lip
is this stuck on your lips too it's like oh stuck on
my teeth all right let's put it in the bowl
the pumpkin is in the bowl i'm gonna i'm gonna move
this because i think you girls will just eat it
if i don't to this we are going to add a quarter
of a cup of unsweetened applesauce into the bowl before
the dogs can steal it all hold on i'll get
I'll get you a bite. Hold on! A bite for you?
That's a messy bite!
A bite for you? Oh my goodness!
You're messy too!
Neither of you eat it off the spoon like Memphis used to.
You just make a mess with it!
Okay! Applesauce in the bowl!
You are so impatient! The next ingredient will be
one quarter of a cup
of peanut butter. Excuse me!
You cannot just lick that out of the jar!
I'm not going to measure the peanut butter because
I don't want to have to get it out of that little thing.
We're just going to put a scoop in. Then yes, you can have a bite!
Alright! Peanut butter into the bowl!
You know what that means? Peanut butter!
Good stuff? Peanut butter for you?
Good stuff? A little more?
Somebody's got to clean these dishes!
A little more? Alright! On to the next thing!
Okay! Time to add some more good stuff!
Alright! So if your dogs have a lactose issue,
you don't want to add these next two things.
Don't add the cottage cheese and the Greek yogurt.
My dogs have had both of these things many times.
Also, I know I'll say it again, but this is a treat.
replacement they're not supposed to be eating
a ton of this so it's just a treat the next thing
we are going to add is a half a cup
of small curd cottage cheese i'm using the one percent milk fat
cottage cheese just make sure whatever cottage cheese you
do decide to use again does not have
xylitol or birch sugar in it i know you girls love cottage cheese
also you are making a huge
mess huge mess yeah huge mess there you go there's
your cottage cheese half a cup of cottage cheese
Next, we will be adding a half a cup of non-fat Greek yogurt.
I understand, but we gotta put it in the bowl.
It's gotta go in there. I might have to spoon some of that out,
because there's still quite a bit in there.
You can't just eat it all.
Okay, maybe you can. Just a little.
A little. Just a little.
Is that the yellow good stuff? Yeah? You both like that?
Is that good stuff? Yeah?
Well, there's gonna be a whole bunch of it in your treats.
So, hopefully, you'll think these are delicious.
This is a fun one. Don't you dare.
Don't you? We're not ready yet. Don't you get
I'm gonna take this whole bowl away from you
That's what I'm gonna do because we're not done adding stuff to it yet.
Yeah, check those out instead. Oh my goodness
Are you just the cutest darn thing on the planet?
The next thing we are going to add is about
a half a cup of wet dog food. Why?
Well just for flavor to make it from for the dogs.
So I have a couple options here
I have a venison recipe and then I have a rabbit recipe
I don't think I have a full half a cup of the rabbit
So I'm going to mix the two together and then mix it in here and then
Maybe I'll put it in the things
and you can actually have some. Am I gonna freeze these?
These would work really good frozen.
So you can freeze them or feed them to your dogs as is.
But like I said, I'll show you all the fun options in a minute.
Honey, you are the cutest darn thing on the planet right now.
You really, look at, can you see her?
She's like, this is my stretch. This is great and I love it.
You're cute too. We love you too. Okay, let's add that to this.
Yeah, this is what's gonna make you really want it. Want a bite?
Oh, you actually got it off the spoon that time. I'll get you one.
Hold on. Can you bite it off the spoon this time?
Okay, so the better stuff gets bitten off the spoon
Faster. All right.
I think it's time to stir this all together before I stir it
This is what it looks like I have to say does not smell appealing
But the girls are like mom just stir it together and give it to it.
Just like that. Okay, stir this together
Gonna lick it. I will say this looks like
the least appealing thing I have ever made for you girls.
Yeah, none of us want to try this ourselves,
especially because there's a can of dog food in it.
But that was good. You got that clean.
Yeah, you get it clean. Good stuff.
So here's the deal. I am going to take this and spoon it into here.
You may not have these little silicone cauldrons.
I actually believe I got them at either Michael's or Hobby Lobby,
but we have other options.
another option would be to spoon them into a mini muffin tray
or a standard muffin tray
and then freeze them
and give them to the dogs another option is the woofsicle so i am also
going to take i have the little mold here
and i am going to freeze some in here so they can have it
as a woofsicle as well you do not have to freeze
this if you want to just use it as a food topper
you can if you want to use it as a treat you can
but we're going to put it in these cute little
cauldrons and then do a little bit of decoration
and see what the dogs think and then everything
else i'm going to freeze so the first part
of this they're going to have just as is and the
rest of it will be frozen let me fill
this up before i even do that this is the perfect time
to remind you that this is a treat
and not a meal replacement please feed your pets responsibly also
if you're new here don't forget to hit
that subscribe button click that bell turn on all
notifications so you'll be notified whenever we upload
a new video and if you want to see some
of our other amazing fun halloween treats
that we've done over the years there will be a link
in the cards up above down in the video description below
and at the end of the video okay i know
let's let's get the stuff filled so you can have some stuffs
so we have our little mold full for
our woofsicles and yes i do have multiples
of these that is going to go in the freezer you're
going to want to freeze these until frozen at least six hours
or overnight if possible and then
Then I have my cauldrons full. I am not freezing the cauldrons.
I'm gonna let the dogs have them now,
but I'm not done decorating them yet.
Let me show you the fun stuff we're gonna do.
I found a couple of little treats, oh my goodness,
which I thought were kind of cool and some little eyeballs
and we're gonna, don't you dare, you thought about it.
we're gonna go ahead and decorate these oh here we go these are so cute
so i added the little tiny
chewy milk bones just a couple of them
and then the little ghost some sprinkles and some little
crunchy eyeball candies the sprinkles
and the crunchy eyeballs are just a little bit of sugar
that's all it is it'll be fine moderation
is key it's time to see what they think i don't know how
i managed to do this but i got them both out here
and i got them to wait take it take it take it
Let's dig it!
Are we going for the...
Are we going for the everything's first?
Yeah?
Yeah?
Oh my goodness!
So, if you do have the cauldrons...
I stuck a piece of an apple down in there, to make it not so full.
I don't remember if I showed that or not.
But I did stick an apple down in there.
To make it not so full, so they can get all their good stuffs out.
What you think?
Good cookies?
Good everything?
Is it delicious?
Holy cow!
You made a mess!
You have made a giant mess!
And there's an apple in there for you to have as well.
Oh my goodness!
Is that delicious?
Alright you guys!
